Fox Lake Grade School District 114 is an elementary school district based in unincorporated Lake County, Illinois, east of the village of Spring Grove, and educates students in the northwestern region of Lake County. [1] The communities served by the school district surround Fox Lake. The district is composed of two schools, with one being an elementary school and the other being a middle school. [2]

Schools

District students begin their education at Lotus School, which is located in unincorporated Spring Grove, in Lake County. Lotus school students range from PreK through fourth grade under principal Matt Peters. [3]

Graduates of Lotus attend Stanton School, which is located in the Lake County portion of the village of Fox Lake; and attends to students between grades fifth and eight under supervision of principal Jeff Sefcik. [3] The district superintendent is Heather Friziellie.

Kildeer Countryside Community Consolidated School District 96 is a K-8 school district centered in the Lake County village of Long Grove, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. This district is composed of seven schools in total, or one kindergarten center, four elementary schools, and two middle schools; any students attending District 96 will ultimately attend Adlai E. Stevenson High School in Lincolnshire, Illinois. This district's kindergarten center is known as Willow Grove Early Learning Center which, as its name suggests, serves kindergarteners and early childhood students. The district is composed of two elementary schools and one junior high school; one of the two elementary schools is home to a preschool program, while the other elementary school is the only school in the district not located in the village of Skokie. Students that are submitted to the TOPS Preschool Program are admitted to one of two teachers in Madison Elementary School, an institution that also teaches students in kindergarten or in grades one and two under direction of principal Christopher Basten.

South Holland School District 150 is an elementary school district in South Holland, a village located in Cook County just south of the city of Chicago. It is composed of three schools: two elementary schools and one junior high school; all three schools are located within South Holland, although the junior high school and one of the elementary school are located in the same facility. Students begin their education as prekindergarteners or kindergarteners in Greenwood Elementary School, where under supervision of principal William Kolloway, students will remain until graduating from grade three. Students then progress to McKinley Elementary School under principal jerome Pharrel where students in grades four and five are educated. The last wing of education that the district provides takes place in McKinley Junior High School, which is in the same structure as McKinley Elementary School; it is also headed by Jerome Pharrel, and serves grades six through eight. Dr. Jerry Jordan is the superintendent of the district.

Sunnybrook School District 171 is a school in the village of Lansing, Cook County, Illinois. It is a suburb of Chicago, and is located due south of the city proper. Sunnybrook School District 171 is composed of two schools: one elementary school and one middle school. Students that are enrolled in this district begin their education in Nathan Hale Elementary School, where under direction of principal Cynthia Castaneda, students that are in prekindergarten, kindergarten, or in grades one through four are educated. Students between grades five and eight attend Heritage Middle School, which is headed by principal Mr. Gardener and whose mascot is the eagle. District 171's superintendent is Dr. Hughes B. George.

Western Springs School District 101 is an elementary school district located in the affluent central Cook County village of Western Springs, Illinois, which is a Chicago suburb. The district is composed of four schools: three are elementary schools and one is a junior high school, and all four are located in the village of Western Springs. Students may begin their education as prekindergarteners in John Laidlaw Elementary School or Forest Hills Elementary School, where they will remain until grade five; the principals of the schools are, respectively, Sarah L. Coffey and D. A. Farrell. Alternatively, students may enter prekindergarten at McClure Junior High School before starting kindergarten in principal Brad Promisel's Field Park Elementary School, which accommodates its students until grade five, as with the other elementary schools. All elementary schools feed back into McClure Junior High School, where they are educated between grades six and eight under direction of principal F. Daniel Chick. The district's superintendent is Brian Barnhart.

Mundelein Elementary School District 75 is an elementary school district based entirely in the western Lake County village of Mundelein, Illinois. The district is composed of three schools: an early learning center, an intermediate grade school, and a middle school. All schools are located in the village of Mundelein. Students in the district attend Washington Elementary School, which serves kindergarteners, first graders, and second graders under Principal Stephanie Drake. Students then proceed to Mechanics Grove Elementary School, which serves grades three through five and is led by Principal Tanya Fergus. Mechanics Grove then feeds into Carl Sandburg Middle School, which serves grades six through eight under Principal Mark Pilut. The district also hosts the Lincoln Early Childhood Center, a multi-district pre-kindergarten program. The district superintendent is Dr. Kevin Myers, who is also the superintendent of Mundelein Consolidated High School District 120.
