Frances England is an American children's musician. She is from San Francisco, California. Her style of music is generally described as indie and folk.

In 2006, England wrote her first album of songs entitled Fascinating Creatures as a fundraiser for her son's preschool and recorded it with the help of artist Billy Riggs. [1] The album went on to be the sole recipient of the 2007 Oppenheim Platinum Award for Music. [2] [ failed verification ] Her second CD, Family Tree (2008), received the Gold Parent's Choice Award and the Gold Nappa Award for 2008. [3] Her third and fourth albums, Mind of My Own (2011) and Blink of an Eye (2013), also received Gold Parent's Choice Awards. [4]

England's fifth album, Explorer of the World (2016), was awarded another Gold Parent's Choice Award, [5] along with being ranked #1 for 2016 in the annual Fids and Kamily Music Awards compiled by the top children's radio programmers and music writers in the country. [6] [ deprecated source? ] On December 6, 2016, Frances received her first Grammy nomination for Best Children's Album for Explorer of the World. [7]

England occasionally plays live shows in the San Francisco Bay Area with Stewart Peck (guitar/vocals) and Chris Chan (drums/keyboard).[ citation needed ]

Cara de Ángel is the eighteenth (18th) studio album by Puerto Rican singer Yolandita Monge. It was the singer's first studio album for WEA-Latina and was released in 1992. Once again Venezuelan singer/songwriter Ricardo Montaner was involved in the songwriting of some of the songs. It includes the radio hits "Sobreviviré", "Entrega Total", "Angel Caído" and the club hit "Viviré Sin Tí". The album's cover picture was taken by late photographer and stylist Raúl Torres and is a black and white picture, later color painted.

Kathleen Flores was an American rugby union player who was the head coach of the U.S. women's national team until January 2011 and the head coach of the Brown women's rugby team. She played rugby from 1978 to 1998 for Florida State University, the Berkeley All Blues Women's Rugby Club and U.S. women's national team. Parachute Express was an American band of three California-based entertainers who performed, wrote, and produced music for children. Members were Stephen Michael Schwartz, Janice Hubbard, and Donny Becker. Parachute Express gained national prominence as recording artists for Gymboree Play & Music, Walt Disney Records, and Trio Lane Records. They sang the theme song to the popular television series Jay Jay the Jet Plane and have been seen on TV shows Nickelodeon's Nick Jr. Rocks and Disney's Kaleidoscope Concerts. Their music was featured in over 550 Gymboree franchises throughout the world, as well as in preschools, daycare centers, and diverse informal education programs.
