Franck Tournaire (born 4 December 1972 in Narbonne) is a former French international professional rugby union player now playing amateur rugby for US Carcassonne.
As a prop, Tournaire played for Narbonne, Toulouse, Leicester, Perpignan and Narbonne again, ending in Pro D2 his professional career at the Racing Métro 92 Paris.
After retiring in 2008, Tournaire joined amateur club US Carcassonne in southern France.
Tournaire won 49 full caps for the French national team and won 2 Five Nations (1997 and 1998 both Grand Slams) and played in the 1999 Rugby World Cup where France were the runners-up losing in the final to Australia.

Aude is a department in Southern France, located in the Occitanie region and named after the river Aude. The departmental council also calls it "Cathar Country" after a group of religious dissidents active in the 12th to 14th centuries.

Lézignan-Corbières is a commune in the Aude department in the Occitanie region in southern France. Situated in the Corbières wine region not far from Narbonne, it has a Vine and Wine Museum.
Sanele Vavae Tuilagi is a Samoan professional rugby player. Sanele is the younger brother of former and current Samoan internationals Henry, Freddie, Alesana, Anitelea Tuilagi and the older brother of England international Manu Tuilagi.

Patrick Estève is a former French rugby union player and a current coach. He played as wing. He was nicknamed TGV.
Villegailhenc-Aragon XIII are a semi-professional rugby league team based in Villegailhenc, Aude in Languedoc-Rousillon in southern France. They currently play in the second tier competition the Elite Two Championship. Their home stadium is the Stade Jerome Rieux.
Season 2010–2011 in the French Elite One Championship the top level league competition saw Lézignan Sangliers retain their title after they finished top of the table and then went on to beat Limoux Grizzlies in the Grand Final in Narbonne 17-12. The season ran from October to May and after 20 rounds of home and away matches the top five entered the play-offs. At the end of the season both RC Carpentras XIII and Saint-Gaudens Bears were relegated. The Lord Derby Cup was also won by Lezignan Sagliers to complete a second successive league and cup double, they beat Pia XIII in the final 27-18 in Carcassonne.
Season 2011/12 in the French Elite One Championship, the top level rugby league competition in France saw 10 teams play home and away matches before the top six progressed to the play-offs. The season ran from September to May. There were two new clubs, Toulouse Olympique returned to the competition after they had participated in the British rugby league second tier Championship and RC Lescure-Arthes XIII who had won promotion from the French second tier Elite Two Championship. Pia XIII finished top after the regular season and went on to reach the grand final, but they were beaten by AS Carcassonne in that final at Narbonne 26-20. The same two teams had already met in the Lord Derby Cup final with AS Carcassonne enjoying a league and cup double after winning 14-12. At the other end of the table Montpellier Red Devils opted for relegation thus saving new boys RC Lescure-Arthes XIII who had finished bottom.
Claude Teisseire is a French former professional rugby league footballer who represented France at the 1954 Rugby League World Cup. Although he could not take part to the 1951 tour of Australia and New Zealand due to a knee injury, he took part to the 1955 tour which concluded with two wins in three test matches. He played as halfback and centre. At club level, he played for AS Carcassonne and Lézignan. For many years, he formed a formidable centre combination with Gilbert Benausse. Later, he became a rugby union coach and referee.
The 2021–22 Elite One Championship will be the 87th season of France's domestic rugby league competition and the 21st season known as the Elite One championship. There will be nine teams in the league. Each team will play 16 matches in the regular season. The top six teams will progress to a three-week final series played throughout May 2022.
