Biography

He was born December 19, 1987 in Manila, Philippines. He is the son of the late rapper Francis Magalona and Pia Arroyo-Magalona. He is also the grandson of Pancho Magalona and Tita Duran. He has four sisters: Unna Lu, Maxene Magalona, Saab Magalona and Clara Magalona. He also has three brothers: Nicolo Magalona, Elmo Magalona, and Arkin Magalona. He is a cousin of Hiro Peralta.

FreeMan is the fifth album by Filipino rapper Francis Magalona, released in 1995 by BMG Records (Pilipinas) Inc, Musiko Records. It was Magalona's first outing with the BMG label, having left his previous label, OctoArts International Inc., in 1994. Its release firmly established Magalona's legitimacy in the Pinoy rock scene. Tracks like "Three Stars & A Sun", "Kabataan Para Sa Kinabukasan", "Suckin' on Helium/Kaleidoscope World" would become defining touch-points in Magalona's body of work. A track titled "Intellectual Property Rights" would sample a speech by then-president Fidel V. Ramos. Intellectual property rights was an issue that would continue to be an important and very personal advocacy for Magalona.

"Kaleidoscope World" is a 1995 song performed by the Filipino rapper Francis Magalona. It was first included in his 1995 studio album FreeMan. The song is also included in a later album, Best of FrancisM.

The lineup consisted of the members and their alter egos loosely based on José Rizal's novel, Noli Me Tángere. Crazy as Pinoy released their self-titled album in 2014, spawning songs such as "Tayo Pa Kaya" and their Awit Award-winning song, "Di Sinasadya". The group was also part of the two volumes of Rappublic of the Philippines with the songs "Crazy Dance", "Huwad" and "Panaginip". They have cited influences from the late Francis Magalona, with some of their work sounding slightly like Gloc-9, Chito Miranda of Parokya ni Edgar, Andrew E., Denmark, Mastaplann and numerous others.

<i>FreeMan 2</i> 2000 studio album by Francis Magalona

FreeMan 2 is the eighth album by Filipino rapper Francis Magalona, released on September 23, 2000, by BMG Records (Pilipinas) and Greater East Asia Music. The album is the follow-up to 1995's FreeMan. The song "Watawat" was previously released on the EP Interscholastic, with its music video paying tribute to the evolution of the Philippine flag. The carrier single "Luv 4 Lyf" a song about war and man's struggle for freedom.

Boboy Salonga: Batang Tondo is a 1992 Filipino action film directed by Junn P. Cabreira. The film stars Jeric Raval in the title role, alongside Monica Herrera, Vic Vargas, Mark Gil, Rina Reyes, Francis Magalona, Jennifer Mendoza, Ronel Victor, Ali Sotto and Dick Israel. Produced by OctoArts Films, the film was released in May 1992.
