Frank Mavius (born 12 March 1956) is a retired East German weightlifter who won four medals in the bantamweight category (56 kg) at the European championships of 1977–1985. He was also placed third in individual events at the 1977 and 1982 World championships. [1] [2]
Mavius took up weightlifting in 1971 and around then moved from Görlitz to Dresden, where he had better training conditions. He is married to Ursel, a teacher, and has two daughters, Linda and Vilma. [1]
Williams Racing, legally known as Williams Grand Prix Engineering Limited, is a British Formula One team and constructor. It was founded by Frank Williams (1942–2021) and Patrick Head. The team was formed in 1977 after Frank Williams's earlier unsuccessful F1 operation, Frank Williams Racing Cars. The team is based in Grove, Oxfordshire, on a 60-acre (24 ha) site.
John Franklin Broyles was an American college football player and coach, college athletics administrator, and broadcaster. He served as the head football coach for one season at the University of Missouri in 1957 and at the University of Arkansas from 1958 to 1976, compiling a career coaching record of 149–62–6. Broyles was also the athletic director at Arkansas from 1974 to 2007. His mark of 144–58–5 in 19 seasons at the helm of the Arkansas Razorbacks football gives him the most wins and the most coached games of any head coach in program history. With Arkansas, Broyles won seven Southwest Conference titles and his 1964 team was named a national champion by a number of selectors including the Football Writers Association of America.
Francis Newton Gifford was an American professional football player, actor, and television sports commentator. After a 12-year playing career as a halfback, flanker and safety for the New York Giants of the National Football League (NFL), he was a play-by-play announcer and commentator for 27 years on ABC's Monday Night Football.
