The Out Crowd was a U.S. indie rock band featuring bass guitarist Matt Hollywood, a former member of The Brian Jonestown Massacre. He formed the group in late 2001 in Portland, Oregon with drummer Stuart Valentine, guitarist Elliott Barnes, bassist Joe Patterson and tambourine player Sarah Jane.
Jeffrey Davies is an American rock musician best known as the original lead guitarist of the psychedelic rock band The Brian Jonestown Massacre. In documentary Dig by Ondi Timowner Co wrote the theme song with Anton Newcombe for the HBO series 'Boardwalk Empire': "Straight Up and Down" from 1996 album "Take it From the Man" -Played in the band from 1992 to 1999. He rejoined the band in 2001 only to quit again in 2003. Spending much of his early years in Washington D.C., Davies' family moved to New Mexico where he spent his teen years before eventually moving to San Francisco. While in San Francisco he would become a member of The Brian Jonestown Massacre, replacing Patrick Straczek appearing on the majority of their recordings. Davies has appeared as a guest guitarist and instrumentalist for the LA based neo-psych experimental collective Kill Kill Kill.

Take It from the Man! is the third studio album by American psychedelic rock band The Brian Jonestown Massacre. After recording their shoegaze-influenced debut album Methodrone (1995) and releasing a collection of early recordings, Spacegirl & Other Favorites, the band took influence from 1960s British psychedelic garage rock and recorded Take it from the Man! from November 1995–February 1996. After recording the entire album with an unnamed producer who scrapped the recordings, the band re-recorded the album on a minimal budget, mostly at Lifesource Studios in Emeryville, California with production from Psychic TV's Larry Thrasher, whose usual "studio" approach was vetoed out by the band's back-to-basics approach.

Spindrift is an American psychedelic rock band, created by singer-songwriter-composer-producer-actor Kirpatrick Thomas. Founded in 1992, the band originated in Newark, Delaware along with such other local bands of the period including Jake and the Stiffs, The Verge, Boy Sets Fire, Zen Guerilla and Smashing Orange. Heavily influenced by The Doors, My Bloody Valentine, Hawkwind, Bruce Haack, and Chrome, Spindrift's early stages were experimental and differed greatly from their present sound though the band's musical style is ever in a period of flux.
Zachary Hansen is the former drummer for such Newark, Delaware bands as Jake and the Stiffs, Medicine Man, Raised on Sugar, Spindrift, and D.Machine among other appearances on numerous Mid-Atlantic region recordings with such bands as The Stone Road Stalkers, Blue Water, and The Sonny Mishra Project. In 1993 Zachary along with partner Eric Teather founded Manic Music Recording Studio, recording such acts an Ellemmenno, Spindrift, and Homegrown. In 1994 he along with partner Steve Funk founded one of the first mp3 websites featuring free music and news, drophit.com which later turned into DropHit Records producing numerous albums, compilation releases and promoting musicians worldwide. Hansen went on to own and operate a dot com data company based in Las Vegas, Nevada and is currently writing/recording music with Former Jake and The Stiffs front man Randy America. Starting in 2013 he served as the Director of Connected Devices at the largest North American music distribution company Music Choice overseeing all customer facing web/mobile/stb music platforms working in the first of its kind "real-time streaming video channels" allowing multiple users to watch synch-streamed music videos. In 2015 he began work on a revamp of DropHit.com - iAmRadioWorld.com showcasing independent music from around the world.
