Fred Estby (born 14 March 1972) is a Swedish drummer. He is best known as the drummer and main songwriter of the Swedish death metal band Dismember. [1] Before he played drums in the band Carnage. Estby appeared in various other projects including The A-Bombs (drums), The Clint Eastwood Experience (drums), Daemon (vocals), and Shubniggurat (vocals), Dismemberizer (drums), Parodi (guitar), Death Breath (vocals). He has contributed vocals to the band Centinex of the album Subconscious Lobotomy. Estby also appeared as a guest singer of Entombed in 1997 during a show in Stockholm and sang "Left Hand Path".

After the release of 'The God That Never Was' and some touring, Fred Estby left the band "after long and careful consideration". In a posting on the official site on April 20, 2007 Fred cites the demands of touring and the needs of his family as key reasons for him leaving the band. [2] Fred's statements appears as "My decision to put my family in first hand makes it impossible to keep on touring and commit to the band full time. I want to thank all the fans, friends, bands and all the other cool people i've met through the years and I wish Dismember all the best in the future. Fred."

Currently, Fred plays drums on the band The Dagger, a hard rock/heavy metal band from Stockholm, Sweden formed in 2009 by Fred Estby, David Blomqvist, Tobias Cristiansson and Jani Kataja. The Dagger has just released their first album through Century Media. In 2022, Estby joined the death metal band Ekstasis, which also includes vocalist Damien Moyal. [3] [4]

Dark Recollections is the only album released by Carnage; the band had broken up by the time the album hit the streets. Centinex is a Swedish death metal band formed in 1990. They disbanded on 12 April 2006. They were scheduled to perform their final concert at an already booked show in Eskilstuna, Sweden, on 13 May 2006, but later cancelled. Some of the members went on to form the death metal band Demonical. In January 2014, Centinex was reformed.

Death Breath is a Swedish death metal band featuring Robert Pehrsson and Nicke Andersson, formerly of the death metal band Entombed, who wanted to return to playing drums and death metal. The members of the band are both members of other bands but do not consider Death Breath to be a side project. The band was formed in 2005 and was originally intended to be named Black Breath but to the band's surprise the name Death Breath had never been used by a metal band. The band consider their music to be pure death metal, free from seven-string guitars, five-string basses and triggered drums. The band's music is influenced by Slayer, Venom, Black Sabbath, Autopsy, Celtic Frost as well as old horror movies and HP Lovecraft.

Victims were a Swedish hardcore punk band, originally hailing from Nyköping, at the end of their career they were based in Stockholm. The final line-up consisted of lead vocalist and bass player Johan Eriksson, drummer Andy Henriksson, guitar player, vocalist Jon Lindqvist and guitar player Gareth Smith.
