Freddy the Fearless Fly is a British comic strip series in The Dandy about a fly who is not scared of people. The strip began in the first issue in 1937, drawn by Allan Morley. [1] In the 1990s, the strip returned, albeit more humorously, with stories such as Freddy rasping at a vampire in front of a TV, these were drawn by Gordon Bell and Tom Paterson. The strip returned again in 2011, as a quarter-page strip. This strip is out of series at the moment was drawn by Phil Corbett and involved his encounters with cool flies and humans.
The Bash Street Kids is a comic strip in the British comic magazine The Beano. It also appeared briefly in The Wizard as series of prose stories in 1955. The strip, created by Leo Baxendale as When the Bell Rings, first appeared in issue 604. It became The Bash Street Kids in 1956 and has become a regular feature, appearing in every issue. Since 1961, David Sutherland has drawn about 2,100 strips.
The Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers is an underground comic about a fictional trio of stoner characters, created by the American artist Gilbert Shelton. The Freak Brothers first appeared in The Rag, an underground newspaper published in Austin, Texas, beginning in May 1968, and were regularly reprinted in underground papers around the United States and in other parts of the world. Later their adventures were published in a series of comic books.
A Nightmare on Elm Street is an American supernatural slasher-horror media franchise consisting of nine films, a television series, novels, comic books, and various other media. The franchise began with the film A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984), written and directed by Wes Craven. The overall plot of the franchise centers around the fictional character Fred "Freddy" Krueger, the apparition of a former-child killer who was burned alive by the vengeful parents of his victims, who returns from the grave to terrorize and kill the teenage residents of Springwood, Ohio in their dreams. Craven returned to the franchise to co-script the second sequel, A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors (1987), and to write/direct New Nightmare (1994). The films collectively grossed $472 million at the box office worldwide.

Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare is a 1991 American slasher film and the sixth film in the A Nightmare on Elm Street franchise. It is a sequel to A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child and was originally intended to be the final installment of the series; Wes Craven's New Nightmare was released three years later but takes place outside the series canon. A canonical crossover/sequel, Freddy vs. Jason, was released in 2003. This was New Line Cinema's first 3D film release.

Despite the band's name, none of the bandmembers is named Freddy Jones; according to a 1992 interview, guitarist Wayne Healy stated it was "inspired by a big fat comic strip character named Freddy."

Super School is a comic strip, which started in November 2008 and is drawn by Lew Stringer. This strip was stated in the book The History of The Beano: The Story So Far as originally having the name The Ultras in the planning stages, and was inspired by the X-Men. The strip originally features four super powered children and their non-super powered Teacher. The pupils are Invisible Isobel, who as the name suggests can turn invisible; Safari Sam, a shapeshifter who can become any animal; Stinkbomb, who can create any aroma; Waterboy, who as the name suggests can control water. During the comic strips run the class gained a new pupil Bananagirl, who is described by The Beano as "like Bananaman, only shorter". She can fly and is super strong, just like The Dandy's superhero. It was revealed on the Beano website that Bananagirl is Bananaman's niece, however, the comic itself has since contradicted this, instead saying that she is his cousin. In early strips, they were learning to use their abilities, but now most strips see them go on a mission, although sometimes these are just to help out Teacher.
