Freeslave was an English Christian alternative rock band from Hampshire, England, formed in 2003 and disbanded in 2007, with the lead vocalist, Haydon Spenceley. The band released one studio album, Songs for the Dying (2005), and three extended plays, Project Freedom (2003), Remember the Day (2004) and Save My Day (2006).

Background

The band was formed during 2003 with its membership being Spenceley, lead vocalist and keyboard player Mark Constance, background vocalist and rhythm guitarist Dan Henderson, lead guitarist and bass guitarist Dave Willis and drummer Jon Satherley. [1] Its membership changed by the end with Aaron Lewis as the lead guitarist, Ben Lewis as the bass guitarist and Matt Brombley as the drummer, going from a quintet to a quartet. [2]

Music history

The band's first two releases were the extended plays, Project Freedom,in 2003, [3] and Remember the Day, in 2004. [4] A single, "Love Explosion", [5] was released in 2005, [6] followed by a studio album, Songs for the Dying, the same year. [7] The final release, an extended play, Save My Day, was released in 2006, shortly before the band disbanded in 2007. [8]

<i>Blueprints for the Black Market</i> 2003 studio album by Anberlin

Blueprints for the Black Market is the debut studio album by the band Anberlin. It was released on May 6, 2003, barely a year after the band formed, and was the only album that was released with guitarist Joey Bruce in the band line-up. Blueprints had two singles, "Readyfuels", for which a music video was filmed and "Change the World ". Although the album has sold over 60,000 units, its success pales compared to Anberlin's later albums, failing to chart on the Billboard 200.

Jyro Xhan is the stage/pen name of Filipino American musician GD La Villa. He lives in California. He is a singer, songwriter, producer, guitarist and keyboard player. He has been in several bands such as Jyradelix, Cush, Juggernautz, but most notably Mortal and Fold Zandura. He was the main songwriter and lead singer for both bands. He first used his pen name in 1988 on a demo tape but spelled it "Gyro" until the release of Fathom where it became Jyro. He is married to Carla Joy Phillips. The title track from Mortal's 1995 album Pura is dedicated to her.

The Electrics are a Celtic rock band from Dumbarton, Scotland. They formed in 1988 when former Infrapenny members Sammy Horner and Paul Baird (guitar) asked drummer Dave McArthur and sax/keyboard player Allan Hewitt to play a gig at Glasgow's Impact Festival. The band released a self-financed cassette album, Views in Blues, in 1989. Following this recording the band evolved a celtic rock sound, heavily influenced by The Waterboys and The Pogues. Subsequent recordings included Vision and Dreams (1990) which was distributed by Word Records, and Big Silent World (1993), on Germany's Pila Music label.

"Unbreakable" is a song by Christian rock band Fireflight from their second album, Unbreakable. It was released in November 2007 as the album's lead single, receiving television promotion on the NBC network that month. The song soon became popular on Christian rock radio, charting at number one in February 2008. It was 2008's 14th most played song of the year on Christian contemporary hit radio.

Where Do We Go from Here is the third album by Christian rock band Pillar. The song "Bring Me Down" was featured on the 2005 Major League Baseball video game, MLB 2006, as well as the offroad racing game MX vs. ATV Unleashed. The songs "Frontline" and "Bring Me Down" reached No. 1 on the Christian rock charts., with the former of the two being certified gold by the RIAA on July 31st 2020. The album debuted at No. 74 on the Billboard 200.

Circleslide are an American Christian alternative indie rock band from Nashville, Tennessee, and they were formed in 1999. The Blamed is an American Christian hardcore punk band currently based out of Chicago. During their tenure they have played primarily hardcore punk, pop punk, punk rock, and emo music with some influences from metal as well. They originally are from California having relocated to Illinois after guitarist Bryan Gray moved to Chicago. The band originally formed in 1994 and disbanded in 2003. Members during this era of the band included Bryan Gray, Christopher Wiitala, Trevor Wiitala, Jeff Locke, Jim Chaffin, John Hansen, and Matt Switaj. They have released three albums, with Tooth & Nail Records, 21 in 1996, Frail in 1996, and Give Us Barabbas in 2002. The Band reformed in the summer of 2016 to play a one-off set at Audio Feed music festival. Cadet was an American Christian alternative rock band from Eugene, Oregon, and they formed in 2000 and disbanded in 2004, while their frontman was Ryan Smith. They released, Cadet, with BEC Recordings, in 2001. The same label released, The Observatory, in 2002.
