Malmö Municipality, or City of Malmö, is a Swedish municipality in Skåne County, the southernmost of the counties of Sweden. The central city is Malmö. The municipality is part of Metropolitan Malmö and constitutes its own constituency in parliamentary elections in Sweden.

Formed on 1 January 2008, the club has played one season in Sweden's second tier league Superettan and three seasons in the third tier league Division 1 Södra. The club is currently playing in Division 3, the fifth tier of the Swedish football league system, where the season lasts from April to October.

Gabriëlla Maria "Manon" Melis is a Dutch manager of women's football development at Feyenoord and a former professional footballer who played as a forward. She spent most of her professional career playing in the Swedish league Damallsvenskan, which she won three times with her club LdB FC Malmö, in 2010, 2011, and 2013. Melis also won the Swedish Supercup with Malmö in 2011, and was briefly with the Swedish teams Linköping and Göteborg. She was the Damallsvenskan top scorer three times, in 2008, 2010, and 2011. In 2016, she moved to the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) in the US, playing for Seattle Reign for one season, before retiring from professional football.
The 2011 Svenska Cupen was the 56th season of Svenska Cupen, the main Swedish football Cup. It began on 5 March 2011 with the first match of the preliminary round and ended on 5 November with the Final. Helsingborgs IF won the cup after beating Kalmar FF 3–1 in the final, Helsingborg were also the defending champions. The winners of this competition earned a place in the second qualifying round of the 2012–13 UEFA Europa League, however the second round spot was awarded to Allsvenskan runners-up AIK since Helsingborg were already qualified for European cup play, Kalmar FF who were the runners-up of the cup were awarded AIKs previous qualification spot in the first round.
Lina Therese Nilsson is a Swedish retired footballer who played for FC Rosengård and the Sweden national team. Normally a full-back, she can also play as a wide midfielder. She joined Malmö FF Dam in 2006 and has remained with the club through its different guises as LdB FC and FC Rosengård. Since winning her first Sweden cap in July 2009, Nilsson has represented her country in the 2009 and 2013 editions of the UEFA Women's Championship, as well as the 2011 and 2015 FIFA Women's World Cups. She also played at the 2012 Olympic football tournament.
Renée Josiena Anna Slegers is a Dutch football coach and former international midfielder. As a player she represented Willem II, as well as Swedish Damallsvenskan clubs Djurgårdens IF and Linköpings FC. She won 55 caps for the Netherlands women's national football team and appeared at UEFA Women's Euro 2013. Slegers has served as assistant coach of Arsenal since September 2023.
Emilia Elisabeth Brodin is a Swedish footballer who played as a midfielder for the Damallsvenskan team Djurgårdens IF. She joined previous club Piteå IF for the 2014 season, having been on loan from Tyresö FF for the second part of the 2013 season. She has also played top-level club football for Bälinge IF and AIK. Appelqvist made her debut for the Sweden women's national football team in February 2014.

IF Limhamn Bunkeflo 07, commonly known as LB07, is a football club based in Malmö, Sweden. It is the biggest football club from the Scania region. The club is affiliated with Skånes Fotbollförbund and play their home games at Limhamns IP. The club colours, reflected in their crest and kit, are red and white. The club promoted to the second level of Swedish women's football in 2011. They did this by winning against IF Norvalla (5–0) and losing to Mallbackens IF with a small goal difference (2–3) in the final promotion group. For five years after the promotion LB07 continued playing in the Elitettan.
