Friday Night Productions was set up to make thematic and content-driven movies, which the company's founders believed was missing in Bollywood productions. The first movie produced by the company in this genre is Buddha in a Traffic Jam to be released in 2016. [14] Buddha in a Traffic Jam features National Film Awards winners Anupam Kher and Pallavi Joshi and also features Dev.D lead Mahi Gill and Yeh Saali Zindagi lead Arunoday Singh as Starcast.

Rimpy Kaur "Mahie" Gill is an Indian actress, working in the Hindi and Punjabi film industries. She is best known for her role of Paro in Anurag Kashyap's critically acclaimed Hindi film Dev.D, a modern take on Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay's Bengali novella Devdas, for which she also won the 2010 Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress. Do Dooni Chaar is a 2010 Indian Hindi family comedy-drama film produced by Arindam Chaudhuri, written and directed by debutant director Habib Faisal, and starring Rishi Kapoor, Neetu Singh, Aditi Vasudev and Archit Krishna in lead roles. The film is about a middle-class school teacher who tries to keep his wife and children happy in inflationary times and dreams of buying a car. The movie also marks the return of the Kapoor pair as a lead couple on the silver screen. Although the duo had not acted in a film in over 30 years, they had previously acted in numerous hits during the 1970s. The directorial debut film was also the first live-action Hindi film to be distributed by Disney World Cinema. It stars Ayushmann Khurrana and Neena Gupta with Gajraj Rao, Surekha Sikri, Shardul Rana and Sanya Malhotra in supporting roles. The film tells the story of a middle-aged couple who get pregnant, much to the disappointment of their sons. Based on a script written by Shantanu Srivastava and Akshat Ghildial and a story conceived by Jyoti Kapoor.
