Dato' Fuad bin Hassan (12 November 1952 - 8 December 2014) was a Malaysian Malay politician from the United Malays National Organization Party (UMNO). He was once a member of the Selangor State Legislative Assembly for the Hulu Kelang state assembly representing UMNO.

Fuad was the son of a religious figure who studied al-Quran,namely Hassan Azhari (1928-2018). [1] He was the eldest son,both of his younger siblings are former Inspector-General of Police of Police,Musa Hassan and actor,Jalaluddin Hassan.
He had a degree from National University Malaysia.
He was the Hulu Kelang assemblyman for two terms. In the 1999 general election,he lost to the candidate for People Justice Party at the time,Azmin Ali.
Since the defeat,he has retired from the political arena and now focuses on business. The latest is that he is trying to establish a low-cost airline company which is Asmara Air Services Sdn. Bhd. He became the Director General of the Department of Special Affairs or JASA of the Ministry of Information.
The experience,abilities and qualifications he has are considered very suitable for him to hold an important position in helping to strengthen the people's hopes and trust in the Malaysian government under the current leadership of UMNO.

He was also the State Chairman of BN and UMNO of Negeri Sembilan.

Formerly a member of the Malaysian Parliament for Gombak from 2008 to 2022,Azmin served in the cabinets of Muhyiddin Yassin and Ismail Sabri Yaakob as Senior Minister of the Economic Cluster and Minister of International Trade and Industry from 2020 to 2022. A member of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (BERSATU),which is a component party of Perikatan Nasional coalition,Azmin also served as a member of the Selangor State Legislative Assembly for Bukit Antarabangsa from 2008 to 2023. Azmin is also widely regarded as a key figure in the 2020–2022 Malaysian political crisis.
Tan Sri Dato' Seri Haji Abu Hassan bin Omar was a Malaysian politician from United Malays National Organisation (UMNO),a major component party of Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition. He was the 12th Menteri Besar of Selangor,Malaysia,from 1997 to 2000. Previously he was also the Minister of Social Welfare (1984–1986),Minister of Federal Territories (1986–1987),Minister of Foreign Affairs (1987–1992) and Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (1992–1997). He was also a former Member of Parliament for Kuala Selangor (1978–1997) and Selangor state assemblyman for Permatang (1997–2004) in Selangor.

Hassan bin Haji Azhari was a Malaysian and Muslim scholar who is renowned for his proficiency in tarannum tajwid and qira'at,he is a distinguished scholar in the field of al-Quran studies. He was a well-known educator who gained notoriety for his work on the Radio Televisyen Malaysia's (RTM) Muqaddam television programme in the 1970s and for shouting the call to prayer in 1957,the year Malaysia gained its independence. In addition,he performed the call to prayer during the opening of a number of well-known mosques,such as Brunei's Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque and Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Mosque. Among his family and students,he was commonly referred to as "Abu Ya."
