Funny Pets is a Japanese digital computer (CGI) anime series created and directed by Ryuji Masuda that was made in 2006. [1]
The sound effects were made by Shizuo Kurahashi. [1]
A UFO carrying two aliens from another planet ends up falling into Earth,where they are saved by a moody air-headed showgirl called Funny. The two aliens,the moon-like Crescent(クレセント) and the sun-like Corona(コロナ),must adjust to life as Funny's pets. There are 24 episodes and two seasons in this series,all of which are available on YouTube [2] and NicoNico Douga,a Japanese video sharing website. [3]
The music is composed and mixed by Meyna Co,who also created the soundtrack for another of Masuda's shows called Ga-Ra-Ku-Ta:Mr. Stain On Junk Alley . [4]
Minori Matsushima was a Japanese actress,voice actress and narrator that worked for Aoni Production. She was most known for the roles of Candice White Adley,Hiyoko Isu,Alexandria Meat (Kinnikuman),Sayaka Yumi,Hiroshi Ichikawa (Kaibutsu-kun),Dororo (Dororo),and Gyopi. Matsushima was born in Chiba Prefecture on December 1,1940. She died from pancreatic cancer on April 8,2022,at age 81.

The producer of the show is Shunsuke Koga and the characters are designed by Wakako Masuda. The series involves surreal adventures centered on characters living in a junk-filled alley. The episodes are short,with a duration of about seven minutes,and usually start with Mr. Stain finding an object. The name of the episodes are the same as the items that Stain finds. There is no dialogue,just music and sound effects. Each episode's ending credits show the characters who appeared along with their names in English,followed by a segment of everyone dancing and having fun.
