G. T. Bryan was an American politician who served as the first elected President of the Oklahoma State Board of Agriculture from 1911 to 1915.
G. T. Bryan was born in Buchanan County,Missouri in 1864. In 1893,he participated in the Cherokee Strip land run and settled near Perry,Oklahoma. He was appointed to the inaugural Oklahoma State Board of Agriculture and was the first elected President of the board after the 1910 Oklahoma elections. [1]

Beginning in 1896,he emerged as a dominant force in the Democratic Party,running three times as the party's nominee for President of the United States in the 1896,1900,and 1908 elections. He served in the House of Representatives from 1891 to 1895 and as the Secretary of State under Woodrow Wilson from 1913 to 1915. Because of his faith in the wisdom of the common people,Bryan was often called "the Great Commoner",and because of his rhetorical power and early fame as the youngest presidential candidate,"the Boy Orator".

Claude Augustus Swanson was an American lawyer and Democratic politician from Virginia. He served as U.S. Representative (1893-1906),Governor of Virginia (1906-1910),and U.S. Senator from Virginia (1910-1933),before becoming U.S. Secretary of the Navy under President Franklin D. Robert Lee Williams was an American lawyer,judge,and the third governor of Oklahoma. Williams played a role in the drafting of the Oklahoma Constitution and served as the first Oklahoma Supreme Court chief justice. He also served as a United States circuit judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit and as a United States district judge of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. As Governor,Williams oversaw the state's response to the United States Supreme Court's ruling against Jim Crow laws and its involvement in World War I. Due to his direct administrative role and concentration of power,Williams counteracted the loss of executive power under Governor Lee Cruce.
