GRGDN is a Turkish music production and artist management company and record label based in Istanbul. The name of the company originates from the Turkish word gergedan which means rhinoceros.
It was founded in 2003 by OIART-graduated producer Haluk Kurosman and Hadi Elazzi, who had previously worked for such companies like Sire Records (Warner Music) or Sony Music Turkey. The company has its own recording studio in Ulus, Istanbul and does the management of several renowned Turkish artists.
In 2011 Haluk Kurosman parted ways with GRGDN to become a freelance producer. [1]
GRGDN released the first album of Turkish rock band Gripin as an independent record label. [2] Together with Sony BMG they released several other albums. The studio recordings usually take place at the company's own studio, supervised by Haluk Kurosman. The full list of albums published or co-published by GRGDN is as follows:

The company undertook the management of several successful artists. Among others they manage maNga, who have received gold status for their album sales in Turkey [3] and Emre Aydın, who has won several prestigious awards this year as "Best Newcomer". [4] [5]

Anatolian rock, or Turkish psychedelic rock, is a fusion of Turkish folk music and rock. It emerged during the mid-1960s, soon after rock groups became popular in Turkey. Most known members of this genre includes Turkish musicians such as Barış Manço, Cem Karaca, Erkin Koray, Selda Bağcan, Fikret Kızılok alongside bands such as Moğollar, Kurtalan Ekspres, 3 Hürel, and Altın Gün.
Sony BMG Music Entertainment was an American record company owned as a 50–50 joint venture between Sony Corporation of America and Bertelsmann. The venture's successor, the revived Sony Music, is wholly owned by Sony, following their buyout of the remaining 50% held by Bertelsmann. BMG was instead rebuilt as BMG Rights Management on the basis of 200 remaining artists.
Manga is a Turkish rock band whose music is mainly a fusion of Anatolian melodies with electronic elements. In 2009, they won both the Best Turkish Act award from MTV Turkey and consequently the Best European Act award from MTV Networks Europe in MTV Europe Music Awards 2009. They represented Turkey at the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 with the song "We Could Be the Same" and took second place.

Haluk Kurosman is a Turkish music producer and co-founder of GRGDN, a music production – management company and record label; producing, mixing and mastering the albums of successful young Turkish artists. Kurosman started to play the guitar at the age of 15 and had his own band, where he was also the frontman. By the age of 23 he decided to move "backstage" and work as a producer. He is a graduate of Deutsche Schule Istanbul and Marmara University in business administration. Later he went to Canada, where he attended Ontario Institute of Audio Recording Technology (OIART) and graduated in 1999 as "perhaps the most brilliant student to attend OIART since its inception". Thus the institute has founded the Kurosman Award to be given to the most talented students.
Manga+ is the re-released version of the first, self-titled album of Turkish rock band Manga, released in 2006 by Sony Music/GRGDN. Two new songs were added to it, along with a special DVD.
Afili Yalnızlık is the first solo album of Turkish alternative rock musician Emre Aydın, released by Sony Music/GRGDN. The album has received wide attention and several awards in Turkey. The entire album is built around the concept of loneliness, concerning both the lyrics and the melancholic music. The first video, having the same title as the album, was shot by renowned director Yon Thomas.
Hikayeler Anlatıldı is the first album by the Turkish rock group Gripin, released in 2004 by GRGDN. It was later re-released as Hikayeler Anlatıldı 2 by Sony Music/GRGDN, containing a bonus cd with the acoustic versions of the songs.

The Ontario Institute of Audio Recording Technology (OIART) is a private career college in London, Ontario, Canada. The institute trains audio engineers for a variety of careers in music production, recording arts, audio engineering, sound recording and related fields. Founded in 1983 by engineer and producer Paul Steenhuis, the college focuses solely on sound. Graduates of the OIART program receive a Diploma in Audio Recording Technology.
Turkey participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 with the song "We Could Be the Same" written by Evren Ozdemir, Fiona Movery Akıncı and Manga. The song was performed by Manga. The entry was selected through an internal selection organised by Turkish broadcaster Türkiye Radyo ve Televizyon Kurumu (TRT).
İbrahim Ferman Akgül is a Turkish singer, songwriter, TV host and actor. He is the lead singer of Turkish rock band maNga. In 2015 he opened the independent record label 06 Records and released his first solo single "İstemem Söz Sevmeni" in early 2016.
