Oba Gabriel Ayodele Adejuwon CFRJustice of Peace JP and Fellow Chartered Institute of Taxation (born November 15, 1970) is the 10th Onisan of Isan-Ekiti and the chairman of all the traditional council in the state between July 28, 2021 and July 28,2023. [1] [2] [3] [4]

Early life

Gabriel was born on November 15, 1970, in Isan-Ekiti, Ekiti State. He attended St. Paul's Anglican Primary School in Isan Ekiti from 1976 to 1982. He obtained his Ordinary and Higher National Diploma from Ondo State Polytechnic (now Rufus Giwa Polytechnic) between 1993 and 1997. He is also an alumnus of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba, Ondo State, class of 1999, and holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance, which he earned in 2002. [5]

Career

Adejuwon had a career spanning over twenty years with the Federal Inland Revenue Service, where he gained expertise in taxation, auditing, and financial management . He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (FCTI), an Associate of the Certified Board of Administrators (ACBA), and an Associate member of the Institute of Debts Recovery of Nigeria. John Olukayode Fayemi ; born 9 February 1965) is a Nigerian politician who served as governor of Ekiti State from 2018 to 2022. He previously served in office between 2010 and 2014 before losing re-election to Ayodele Fayose. He was also the Minister of Solid Minerals Development in President Muhammadu Buhari's cabinet from 11 November 2015 to 30 May 2018, when he resigned to contest for a second term as Governor of Ekiti State. He is the pioneer president of the Forum of Regions of Africa (FORAF) since 9 September 2022.

The Ekiti people are one of the largest historical subgroups of the larger Yoruba people of West Africa, located in Nigeria. They are classified as a Central Yoruba group, alongside the Ijesha, Igbomina, Yagba and Ifes. Ekiti State is populated exclusively by Ekiti people; however, it is but a segment of the historic territorial domain of Ekiti-speaking groups, which historically included towns in Ondo State such as Akure, Ilara-Mokin, Ijare, and Igbara-oke. The 2022 Ekiti State gubernatorial election took place on 18 June 2022, to elect the Governor of Ekiti State. Incumbent APC governor Kayode Fayemi was term-limited and could not seek a third term. Former Secretary to the State Government Abiodun Oyebanji held the office for the APC by a 30% margin over first runner-up and SDP nominee—former Governor Olusegun Oni.

Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye III is the Olowo of Owo and paramount Ruler of Owo Land in Ondo state, Nigeria. He succeeded his father Oba Adekola Ogunoye II, the Olowo of Owo, who held the title from 1968 until his passing in 1993. He is the son of Olori Adenike Yeyesa Ogunoye. Oba Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye III was formally presented with the staff of office by the Governor of Ondo State Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu on 14 December 2019 marking the beginning of his reign.

Abiodun Abayomi Oyebanji, is a Nigerian politician who has served as the governor of Ekiti State since 2022. He is a former Secretary to the Ekiti State Government and a former Chief of Staff to the Governor of Ekiti State. He was elected governor during the 2022 Ekiti State gubernatorial election, having defeated Olusegun Oni of the Social Democratic Party and Bisi Kolawole of the Peoples Democratic Party.

Odebunmi Idowu is a Nigerian politician. He currently serves as the State Representatives representing Oye II constituency of Ekiti State at the State Legislature.
