Gaetano Jjuko Kagwa is a Ugandan actor and broadcaster. He currently co-hosts a breakfast show "Gaetano & Lucky in the Morning" at 91.3 Capital FM with Lucky Mbabazi as well a judge on East Africa's Got Talent alongside Dj Makeda, Jeff Koinange and Vanessa Mdee. [1] [2]
He played Abe Sakku on Nana Kagga's TV series, Beneath The Lies – The Series. He rose to fame when he represented Uganda in the first edition of Big Brother Africa in 2003. He has also hosted the television show Studio 53 on Mnet. Between the years 2004 to 2008, Gaetano was the host of the Capital in the Morning Show on Kenyan radio station 98.4 Capital FM.
Gaetano was born Gaetano Jjuko Kagwa on 22 June 1972 in Kampala, Uganda. Gaetano moved to Kenya when he was five years old and then to Lesotho when he was nine. [3] It was in Lesotho that he completed his high school education. In 1993, he joined the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse, USA where he graduated with a degree in political science in 1997.
Gaetano's career as a radio presenter goes back several years before signing up with Kenya's Capital FM. Prior to moving to neighboring country Kenya as a radio presenter, Gaetano worked for Capital FM Uganda as well as Vision Voice, a Ugandan radio station. [4]
While a third-year law student at Makerere University, Gaetano Kagwa went to represent Uganda in the premier Big Brother Africa series in 2003. [4] Gaetano made it to the final day of the competition, finishing in fourth place ahead of Namibian representative Stefan Ludik but behind Botswana's Warona Setshwaelo.
He is most remembered for starting a romantic relationship with South African housemate Abby Plaatjes. While at the house, Gaetano won the chance to swap places with Big Brother UK contestant Cameron Stout. He won the chance to swap places to the UK house after he won a cocktail making challenge. His stint at the UK house caused media outrage when he called representative Tania a "piggy", something that made her shed tears and threaten to leave the house for good. [5]

Gaetano married Enid Kushemeza in August 2009. [8] Gaetano has for most of his life been an advocate of awareness and prevention of HIV/AIDS and, in 2007, he was appointed as a UNAIDS special representative. [9]
Sir Apollo Kagwa (1864–1927) was a major intellectual and political leader in Uganda when it was under British rule. He was a leader of the Protestant faction and was appointed prime minister (Katikkiro) of the Kingdom of Buganda by King Mwanga II in 1890. He served until 1926. Kagwa served as prince regent from 1897 until 1914 when the infant King Daudi Chwa came of age. He was Buganda's first and foremost ethnographer.
Cameron Stout is a journalist and presenter for BBC Radio Orkney and the winner of Big Brother 2003. He received 1.9 million votes, 500,000 more than runner-up Ray Shah. Cameron is the elder brother of television and radio presenter Julyan Sinclair.
Jeff Mwaura Koinange is a Kenyan journalist and host of Jeff Koinange Live, a talk show on Citizen TV since February 2017. He was also a radio host, alongside Nick Odhiambo, on the breakfast show at HOT 96, the English-language station owned by Royal Media Services. He was a judge representing Kenya at the new East Africa's Got Talent, which premiered on 4 August 2019. He served as the Africa correspondent for CNN and CNN International from 2001 to 2007, and later as chief reporter at TV station K24 from 2007 to December 2012. Before joining KTN, he worked with KTN on his branded news program, Jeff Koinange Live. He had earlier served as the chief anchor Africa for Arise Television Ltd based in Johannesburg. He joined East Africa's Got Talent as a judge alongside Gaetano Kagwa, Makeda Mahadeo and Vanessa Mdee.

Undercover Brothers Ug also simply known as Undercover Brothers are a Ugandan music duo composed of guitarist and vocalist Jay K Mulungi and vocalist Timothy Kirya, whose music career sparked off when they won the auditions and represented Uganda in the sixth season of East Africa's biggest singing competition Tusker Project Fame. The duo released their first album titled At Dawn in December 2014. In December 2016, their song Nsikatila was nominated in the Best R&B Song category at HiPipo Music Awards (#HMA) 2017.
Beneath The Lies is a Ugandan television drama-mystery series created by Nana Kagga Macpherson and starring Flavia Tumusiime, Natasha Sinayobye, Gaetano Kagwa, Hellen Lukoma, Rabadaba, Deedan Muyira, Cedric Babu Ndilima, Patrick Salvado Idringi and Susan Naava as regular cast members. The series was directed by Joseph Kitsha Kyasi and Tosh Gitonga. It was originally produced by Savannah MOON Productions, and Kinetic Media Group before all production was taken over by 40Plus Productions, a production house co-owned by Nana Kagga and Cedric Babu Ndilima. It airs on Sundays at 9:30 p.m. EAT, on New Vision Group's Urban TV Uganda.
Suzan Kerunen is a Ugandan world music singer and songwriter who performs African contemporary music in the local Ugandan language of Alur-Jonam as well as in English, Swahili and other world languages. She is a double Kora Award nominee who competed against Ethiopia's Michaih Behaylu, Astar and Bluz and Kenyan Wahu and a PAM Award winner. She was appointed Uganda National Tourism Ambassador to promote Cultural Tourism. Jackie (Jackline) Nake Lumbasi is a Kenyan media personality currently working in Kigali, Rwanda. She co-hosted the Big Breakfast Show on 91.3 Capital FM from 2008 to 2018 with a number of presenters including Gaetano Kagwa, Ramesh Gabalsing, Alan Kasujja, Marcus Kwikiriza and Oulanya as well as read the evening news on UBC in Uganda until 2014.
Nsikatila, sometimes spelt Nsikatira, is a world-pop love song by Ugandan music duo Undercover Brothers Ug. It was released as the second single from their first EP album and first major release, At Dawn in December (2014) and re-released in January as the first single from their 2016 album, Hitlist. Co-written by the duo's Timothy Kirya and Jay K Mulungi and produced by Jude Mugerwa, the lyrics portray a lover who stammers whenever he talks to his lover.
