Galaxies is a science fiction novel written by Barry N. Malzberg. [1] It was first published in 1975. [2] Galaxies is a metafictional work in which the writing of a science fiction novel becomes entwined with the novel being written.

Malzberg expanded his short work A Galaxy Called Rome into the full-length novel Galaxies. [3]

The mediacentric fakeness attendant upon the reality of the war effort and the neurotic tics of the crew are pure Barry Malzberg riffs. One might be reading a successor to Malzberg's Galaxies or perhaps Moorcock's The Black Corridor.
