Game Sack is a YouTube web show dedicated to documenting retro games [1] [2] [3] and related devices. [4] [5] The channel was started in 2011 [6] [7] by Denver residents Joe Redifer and Dave White, [8] who are friends since high school. [9] Currently, Joe produces all videos by himself. [10] [11] He has said he prefers to use his own cartridges instead of emulation. [12] [13]

The 2019 game Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night features a special code to enable a Game Sack weapon. [14] [15]

In 2024, the channel uploaded historic footage of E3, [16] [17] [18] which was once the gaming industry's major event. [19]

Other media

Some Game Sack episodes have been released on blu-ray [20] and Amazon Prime Video. [21] Its original soundtrack is available on Bandcamp. [22]

The channel had 248,000 subscribers in 2020. [23] In 2024, it had 305,000 subscribers. [24]

Game Sack has been referenced to by multiple Vice Media articles. [5] [8] [12] Hardcore Gaming 101 , a respected retrogaming publication, [25] [26] [27] has mentioned Game Sack's research on plagiarism in video game music. [28] Tecnoblog  [ pt ] used Game Sack as a source in an article about upscalers. [29]

Scott Wozniak, a successful gaming YouTuber, [30] has mentioned Game Sack as one of his influences. [31]

Chōjin Heiki Zeroigar is a 1997 vertically scrolling shoot 'em up video game created by Satoshi Fujishima and published by NEC for its PC-FX console. It is notable for being the only shooter in the console's library, even though its predecessor, the PC Engine/TurboGrafx-16, was known for excelling in this genre. An English-language fan translation was released in 2015 with the title God-Fighter Zeroigar.
