Ganesh Jain is an Indian film producer. He, along with his brothers, Ratan Jain, Girish Jain, Champak Jain, Umed Jain, Ramesh Jain and Bhawar Jain, founded the company Venus Records & Tapes. [1] [2] Major films he has produced include Baazigar , Josh , Garam Masala , Aap Ki Khatir and De Dana Dan . He was elected as chairman of the Indian Music Industry (IMI). [3]

Career

Ganesh Jain and his brother Ratan Jain started the business of manufacturing video cassettes during the early 1980s under the banner of Venus Records & Tapes Manufacturing Company. In 1992 they diversified their business by starting to produce films. [4] The first film produced was Khiladi. [5] [6] The company in past two decades has amassed many audio, satellite, video and cable rights. [7]

Khiladi is an Indian media franchise created by Akshay Kumar and Abbas–Mustan, consisting of a Bollywood action film series and an Indian stunt television series starring Akshay Kumar. Other than starring Akshay Kumar and the word "Khiladi" in the title, the films and television series have little in common, with the producers, directors and stories being different. The Khiladi film series was notable for its action scenes and stunt sequences performed by Akshay Kumar, including some of Indian cinema's most dangerous stunts, drawing comparisons to Hong Kong action cinema's Jackie Chan.

Om Prakash Munjal was an Indian businessman, poet and philanthropist. Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon? is a 2015 Indian Hindi-language comedy film directed by Abbas Mustan. Stand-up comedian Kapil Sharma made his Bollywood debut with this movie, as did actress Sai Lokur and supporting actress Jamie Lever. Other cast members include Arbaaz Khan, Manjari Fadnis, Simran Kaur Mundi, Elli Avram, Varun Sharma, Supriya Pathak, Sharat Saxena, and Manoj Joshi. Kapil Sharma was to have previously appeared in Yash Raj's film Bank Chor, but he opted out of it. The film was a commercial success and declared a "hit" by Box Office India.

Rayaroth Kuttambally Krishna Kumar was an Indian business executive who was the director of Tata Sons. He was a member of Tata Administrative Services and served as a trustee of Sir Dorabji Tata Trust and Sir Ratan Tata Trust, which hold a 66 per cent stake in Tata Sons. He played a significant role in several acquisitions by Tata Group, including the £271 million buy-out of Tetley in 2000, which made Tata Global Beverages the second-largest tea company in the world. The Government of India awarded him the fourth-highest civilian honour of the Padma Shri in 2009 for his contributions to Indian trade and industry.

Angrezi Medium is a 2020 Indian Hindi-language comedy drama film directed by Homi Adajania and produced under the production banner Maddock Films. A standalone sequel to the 2017 film Hindi Medium, the film stars Irrfan Khan, Radhika Madan, Deepak Dobriyal and Kareena Kapoor Khan in an extended special appearance.Filming began in Udaipur on 5 April 2019 and was completed by July in London. This was Irrfan's final film to be released before his death on 29 April 2020.

Champak Jain was an Indian film producer who produced many Hindi films. He was the owner of Venus Records & Tapes Pvt Ltd.

Ishtar Music, Previously known as Venus Records & Tapes is an Indian record label company, originally founded by Ganesh Jain and Ratan Jain as Venus Music in 1988 and currently a subsidiary of Believe Digital. It is primarily known for publishing and marketing Bollywood music soundtracks and Indi-pop music. In 2021, the company was acquired by Believe Digital and rebranded as "Ishtar".
