Ganga Nagar is a neighbourhood in the northeast part of Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. This neighbourhood was named after the Ganges river.

It is surrounded by the Defence colony and Awho colony Meerut cantt to the south, Buxar village to the north, and Abdullahpur to the east. Ganga Nagar is approximately 10 km from Meerut City railway station and approximately 5 km from Meerut Cantt railway station.

Education

It is home to educational institutes such as IIMT University, The Avenue Public School, International Public school, and Gargi girls school, while also being close to JP Hotel management college, Forte Institute and Translam Academy.

Economy

Branches of banks such as State Bank of India, Punjab National Bank, UCO Bank, ICICI Bank, Syndicate Bank and Axis Bank, along with the UP West Regional Office of Airtel and BSNL. Super Market Retail Chains like Vishal Mega mart, Reliance are also here.

In last few years Ganga nagar is emerged as a youth hub of Meerut as there are so many multinationals cafes, fast food outlets are situated and growing in the area.

Danapur Nizamat or Danapur is an Indian satellite town and one of six subdivisions (tehsil) in the Patna district of Bihar state. The population was 182,241 at the 2011 India Census. The Delhi–Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System is a partially operational 82.15 km (51.05 mi)-long semi-high-speed rail and regional transit system that will connect the National Capital Region (NCR) cities of Delhi, Ghaziabad and Meerut. It is the first of the four rapid rail corridors planned under the first phase of the RapidX project managed by the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC). Designed to allow a maximum speed of 180 km/h (110 mph), the distance between Delhi and Meerut will be covered in less than 60 minutes. The project is being executed at a cost of 30,274 crore (US$3.5 billion). It will start from Jangpura as the starting station, run through Sarai Kale Khan, the terminal for the three planned corridors, both in Delhi, and end in Modipuram in Meerut. It will have 16 stations and two depots at Duhai and Modipuram.
