Gangotri is a 2007 Indian Bhojpuri-language drama film directed by Abhishek Chhadha. The film is a sequel to Ganga (2006) and stars Amitabh Bachchan, Hema Malini, Manoj Tiwari, Bhumika Chawla and Sambhavna Seth.

Production

The film is produced by Deepak Sawant, who is Amitabh Bachchan's makeup man. [1] Mithun Chakraborty was initially considered to play a role Bhumika Chawla's elder brother in the film, [1] and he agreed to be in the film. [2]

Release

Despite making the film in Bhojpuri, the director opted for a release of the Hindi dubbed version instead of releasing the original version. [4] The film was eventually released in both languages. [5] [6]

It stars Pawan Singh and Amrapali Dubey in the lead roles, while Aayushi Tiwari, Ashok Samarth, Brijesh Tripathi, Sanjay Verma, Jaswant Kumar, Ajay Suryavanshi, Sweety Singh, Mukesh Tiwari, Rajveer Yadav, Jai Singh, Vijay Singh and Vikash Tiwari in supporting roles. Sambhavna Seth make a special appearance in this film.
