Gareth Peter Rees (born 8 April 1985) is a Welsh cricketer. He is a left-handed batsman and a left-arm medium-pace bowler who played for Glamorgan.
Rees was born in Swansea. He was a prominent member of the successful Felinfoel Youth Rugby team,and represented Wales at under-17s and Llanelli under-21s. [1] He graduated with first class honours in Maths and Physics from the University of Bath,and gained a Master's in Business Administration from the same university. [2]
In 2003 Rees played for Wales Minor Counties and Glamorgan's 2nd XI. He finally made his County Championship debut against Gloucestershire at Cheltenham. He won his county cap in 2009. Rees also represented the MCC in the opening game of the 2012 season against Lancashire.
Rees continued to play for Glamorgan until 2014,scoring two centuries during the 2013 season in the County Championship,but did not make any appearances in the Friends Life t20. By the end of his first-class career,he had played nearly 200 matches and scored over 7,500 runs. He continued his career with an insurance company. In 2019,he was appointed a director of Glamorgan County Cricket Club. [2]

Anthony Robert Lewis CBE is a Welsh former cricketer,who captained England,became a journalist,went on to become the face of BBC Television cricket coverage between 1986 and 1998,and became president of the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC).
Malcolm Andrew Nash was a Welsh cricket player and coach. He played first-class cricket for Glamorgan. Nash was a left-arm medium-pace bowler and useful lower-order left-handed batsman. He made his debut for the county in 1966 and was released by the county after the 1983 season. He captained the county in 1980 and 1981. He took the most wickets for Glamorgan in 1969 when it won the county championship. In 1985,he played his last one-day match for Shropshire. Between 1966 and 1983 in his 17 years career,Nash took 993 first-class wickets,scored 7,129 runs and held 148 catches. He died on 30 July 2019 in London at the age of 74 years.

Francis 'Frank' Peter Ryan was an English first-class cricketer. After serving in the First World War with the Royal Flying Corps,Ryan played as a professional for Hampshire from 1919 to 1920. A heavy-drinker who was known for having a short-temper,he fell out with Hampshire and walked out on the club,subsequently joining Glamorgan as their professional between 1923 and 1931. He made over 200 appearances for the Welsh county,taking over 900 wickets as a slow left-arm orthodox bowler. Following the end of his career,he would play club cricket in the Lancashire and South Wales League,as well as in Yorkshire.
John William Solanky was a Tanzanian cricketer. A right-handed batsman and right-arm off spin/medium pace bowler,he played for Glamorgan County Cricket Club between 1972 and 1976.
Phillip Anthony Cottey is a Welsh former cricketer who played for Glamorgan,Sussex and Eastern Transvaal in a first-class career lasting 18 years. He was a right-hand batsman and right-arm off-spin bowler.
Ralph Bond Sweet-Escott was an English-born international rugby union half back who played club rugby for Cardiff and was capped three times for Wales. Selwyn Hanam Biggs was a Welsh international rugby union fly-half who played club rugby for Cardiff and county rugby for Glamorgan. Both Biggs and his brother Norman played international rugby for Wales,though they never played in the same match for Wales together. Biggs was described at the time as a 'certain tackler' and a 'fast,good dodger'. Biggs also played cricket for Glamorgan and was part of the team to face the touring South Africans in 1895.
Steven John Malone is an English former first-class cricketer and cricket umpire. A journeyman county cricketer,he played at first-class level for Essex,Hampshire,and Glamorgan. He played predominantly for Hampshire as a right-arm fast-medium bowler,taking 103 wickets from 46 first-class matches and 99 wickets from 65 matches List A one-day matches. After the end of his first-class career,he played Minor Counties Cricket and later became a first-class umpire.
