Personal life

Noone was born in Dublin, but when he was one year old the family moved to be closer to his mother's family, who run a sheep farm in Mayo. [4] Noone and his three younger siblings grew up in Ballina, County Mayo. [4] [5]

Noone suffers from agoraphobia, which led to him being housebound three years. [4] [6] Due to this, Noone dropped out of school at 15. [4] He returned to Youthreach at 21 to earn his Leaving Certificate. [4] Noone overcame his agoraphobia through exposure therapy, starting with taking 10 steps outdoors and expanding that over time. [4]

Noone does not drive. [4] Instead, he takes the train when he needs to travel. [4]

Music career

His mother played the guitar and his father sang in an Elvis tribute band, sparking his interest in music as a child. [4] As a teenager, he got his first gigs playing the guitar in pubs and taught himself music production. [4]

Noone was living in Galway when the Covid-19 pandemic broke out, at which time he returned to Ballina. [4] He started uploading tutorial videos on creating dance music and music production, which led to people asking him for private lessons. [4] A university in the United Kingdom also asked him to teach modules for their master's course. [4]

Noone played in 2024's Acts of Big Love concert on Grafton Street in Dublin to support those with mental illness. [4]

Social media

Noone was named one of Ireland's "breakthrough stars" for 2023 on TikTok. [7] [4] He rose from having just a few thousand followers in early 2023, while posting music tutorials, to over a million in February 2024 after transitioning to comedy. [4] As of December, 2024 he has 187,000 subscribers on YouTube, 707,000 followers on Instagram, and 559.5k followers on TikTok. [a]

His catchphrase, "Follow me, I'm delicious" came about when he made a video that he did not think was particularly funny, so he randomly added it to the end. [4] When he made future videos without it, he got comments from viewers asking for it. [4] People now shout the phrase at him on the street and send him photos of objects with the word "delicious." [4] The phrase was the inspiration for an ad campaign for a coffee company where Noone served as spokesman. [8]

In 2024, Noone won the Gossie Award for newcomer of the year. [9] Also in 2024, Noone released his podcast Listen, I’m Delicious, named so after his catchphrase.

Comedy

His stand-up comedy was featured on the BBC program, Big Comic Energy. [10] [11]

  1. As of July 2023, he had 3,670 subscribers on YouTube and 238,200 on TikTok. [2]
