Gautam is an MBA and started his career with Saatchi and Saatchi. In September 2000 founded Theory M, a data analytics company which used technology for the first time in direct marketing. His next ventures were to form Goldfish Consulting Pvt. Ltd. and Frequency Entertainment. He also consulted for A Little World Pvt. Ltd. during this period.
Gautam began work in 2005 on a concept called Reeload Film Festival [2] a year-round film festival for World Cinema. Later he founded Palador Pictures with Mohan Polamar, to bring the then almost non-prevalent World Cinema and foreign language films into India. The company is promoting them via DVD, Television and Theatrical Releases in the country.
Gautam has travelled extensively in India and abroad to popularize the concept of World cinema and has participated in a number of international film festivals.
Gautam is also a writer having written Meet Moriarty [3] a collection of short stories in 2004 which was critically well received.
He is also a visiting faculty for technology in marketing and direct marketing at the NMIMS University.

Vodka Diaries is a 2018 Indian Hindi-language thriller film co-produced and directed by Kushal Srivastava. It is an unacknowledged remake of Shutter Island. Set in contemporary Manali, the story revolves around a club called Vodka Diaries, where a few murders occur and their investigation is undertaken by the protagonist, ACP Ashwini Dixit. The film was produced under the banner of K'Scope Entertainment Pvt.Ltd. and Vishalraj Films & Production Pvt. Ltd. and released on 19 January 2018.

Ujwal Nirgudkar is a Technical Advisor for India’s National Film Heritage Mission and a chemical engineer by training. He member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, joining the Class of 2017. He is the first Indian to join the Academy as a member-at-large, having worked in the film industry for 36 years. He started his career at the Filmcenter Laboratory in Tardeo, Mumbai as a Technical Manager in May 1981. When the Filmcenter management closed operations in 2000, he joined Filmlab in Goregaon-East, Mumbai. He was initially appointed as General Technical Manager and took part in setting up a state-of-the-art film processing laboratory.
