Gautami Kapoor (born Gautami Gadgil) is an Indian television and film actress and model. [1] She is well known for playing the role of Jaya in Kehta Hai Dil [2] on Star Plus. She also gained popularity playing the lead in TV drama Ghar Ek Mandir [3] [4] and more recently in Parvarrish - Season 2 [5] [6] [7] on Sony TV. She has also acted in many Marathi Movies.

Kapoor is married to her Ghar Ek Mandir co-star and actor Ram Kapoor. They met on the sets of the TV show Ghar Ek Mandir and dated for a while before tying the knot on Valentine's Day in 2003. They have two children. [8]

Meena Kapoor was an Indian playback singer. She was the daughter of actor Bikram Kapoor who worked with the New Theatres studio. Her family was also related to famed filmmaker PC Barua. Kehta Hai Dil is an Indian soap opera that aired on Star Plus channel from 2 July 2002 to 29 March 2005, and is produced by UTV Software Communications. The story is based on the life of a girl named Karishma and portrays the dramatic events that occur in her life, which affect her entire family - who lives in the small, idyllic town of Anand Nagar.
