Gavin Delahunty is an Irish curator and was the Hoffman Family Senior Curator of Contemporary Art at the Dallas Museum of Art. [1] Delahunty joined the DMA staff in May 2014 and resigned in November 2017, citing 'allegations of inappropriate behavior'. [2]

Education

Delahunty holds a Master of Arts degree in Criticism, Visual Arts Practices from the Institute of Art, Design & Technology, Dublin (2004), and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Art, Print from Crawford College of Art & Design, Cork, Ireland (1999).

Career

Prior to working at the Dallas Museum of Art (DMA), Delahunty was Head of Exhibitions and Displays at Tate Liverpool , where from 2010, he managed the exhibition program and curated a number of exhibitions. From 2007 through 2010, he served as Curator at Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art (mima). He has worked for several important institutions over the course of his career, including the Irish Museum of Modern Art, the Douglas Hyde Gallery, Project Arts Centre, and Modern Art Oxford.

Dallas Museum of Art Art museum in Dallas, Texas

The Dallas Museum of Art (DMA) is an art museum located in the Arts District of downtown Dallas, Texas, along Woodall Rodgers Freeway between St. Paul and Harwood. In the 1970s, the museum moved from its previous location in Fair Park to the Arts District. The new building was designed by Edward Larrabee Barnes and John MY Lee Associates, the 2007 winner of the American Institute of Architects Gold Medal. The construction of the building spanned in stages over a decade.

Paul Morrison (artist)

Paul Morrison is a British artist. He was born in Liverpool and received a BA in fine art from Sheffield City Polytechnic. His first one-person show was in London in 1996 and since then he has exhibited extensively in museums and galleries Worldwide. Morrison lives and works in Yorkshire.

Peter Gorschlüter is a German art historian and curator. He was deputy director of the Museum für Moderne Kunst in Frankfurt am Main from 2010 to 2018 and has been director of the Museum Folkwang in Essen since July 1, 2018. In 2021 Gorschlüter was awarded an honorary professorship for "Art and the Public" at the Folkwang University of the Arts.
