Dagbladet is one of Norway's largest newspapers and is published in the tabloid format. It has 1,400,000 daily readers on mobile, web and paper. Traditionally Dagbladet it was considered the main liberal newspaper of Norway, with a generally liberal progressive editorial outlook, to some extent associated with the movement of cultural radicalism in Scandinavian history.

Geir Eriksen, former names Geir Selvik and Geir Selvik Malthe-Sørenssen, is a Norwegian con artist and convicted felon. He formerly worked as a private investigator for criminal clients, and became known for fabricating material in the Arne Treholt case; it was subsequently revealed that he had engaged in similar fraud in a large number of other cases. He was charged with aggravated fraud and forgery; he pled guilty to all charges and in 2018 was sentenced to three years in prison and to pay 7 million kr in restitution. As of 2021 Malthe-Sørenssen was an inmate at Romerike Prison. He has changed his names several times, but is best known under the name Geir Selvik Malthe-Sørenssen, his legal name from 2010 to 2017. In 2021 his former wife Ida Marie Hansen published the book Jeg var gift med en bedrager about the Malthe-Sørenssen case.

Jørgen Lorentzen is a Norwegian literary scholar and independent film producer. His research has focused on the representation of men and masculinities in literature, film and popular culture. He became known to a broad audience through his participation in the TV program Hjernevask in 2010. He was employed as a researcher at the Centre for Gender Research in Oslo until 2013, and has since been a freelance researcher and documentary film producer. In collaboration with his wife, film director Nefise Özkal Lorentzen, he has produced several independent documentaries on Turkey and has also become known in Norway as a critic of Erdoğan's government and a commentator on Turkish political developments.
Erling Ramnefjell is a Norwegian journalist and editor. He worked with Dagbladet for nearly 37 years and held a variety of roles, including as news editor, deputy editor-in-chief and acting editor-in-chief.
Stian Andre Ebbesvik Eisenträger is a Norwegian journalist and the current editor-in-chief of Forsvarets forum, an independently edited magazine published by the Norwegian Armed Forces that covers the armed forces as well as defense and security policy. Eisenträger worked as a foreign affairs journalist at Verdens Gang from 2007 to 2020, and was the newspaper's acting head of foreign news. In 2020 he became the editor-in-chief of Forsvarets forum. He also worked as a journalist at Forsvarets forum from 2003 to 2004, when serving his conscription service in the Norwegian military. In 2018 he was one of the recipients of the Internasjonal Reporter Prize at SKUP, for the article series "Det hvite raseriet."
