Geoff Warburton (born January 8th 1992) is a Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum songwriter from Pickering, Ontario, Canada. Warburton entered the music scene in 2015 when he began writing with Shawn Mendes and over the years he has worked with numerous artists in pop and country, including Jake Owen, Luke Bryan, 5 Seconds of Summer, Demi Lovato, Machine Gun Kelly, Backstreet Boys, Morgan Evans, Band Camino, Florida Georgia Line, Lindsay Ell, Diplo, Virginia to Vegas, Elle King, Griffen Palmer, Mitchell Tenpenny, Tyler Hubbard, Brett Young, Loud Luxury, Sam Fischer, Chase Rice, Quinn XCII, Keith Urban and many more.

Warburton has co-written a total of 26 songs with Shawn Mendes, including eight tracks on the 2016 album Illuminate, which reached number one in the US. [1] [2] This includes the single "There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back." He also co-wrote six songs on Mendes' 2018 self-titled album, which also reached number one in the US. [3] [4] One of the songs, "In My Blood," was nominated for Song of the Year at the 61st Annual Grammy Awards [5] and won Single of the Year at the Juno Awards in 2019, [6] along with Choice Pop Song at the Teen Choice Awards.

Warburton celebrated his first country #1 song with Jake Owen's "Best Thing Since Back Roads" on July 31st 2022.

In 2023, Warburton signed a joint music publishing deal with Big Machine Music and Range Media Partners. [1]
