George William Basil is an American actor.

Early life

Basil grew up outside Baltimore in Essex. [1] After his family moved to Greece, being of age he stayed and worked briefly as a chef after graduating high school. [1]

Contents

After seeing a flyer for the Big Stinkin' International Improv & Sketch Comedy Festival, Basil moved to Austin. [1] There he worked as a bartender and at a pirate radio station. [1] He took an improv class which inspired him to move to New York City. [1]

In NYC, Basil studied at Magnet Theater. [1] For money, he worked at the Apple store, before he began getting acting work. [1]

As an actor Basil is best-known for such films as Werewolves Within [2] and television roles in series such as Flaked , [3] Wrecked , [4] and Crashing . [5]

Personal life

Basil has one daughter and resides in Highland Park. [1]

Flaked is an American comedy drama television series created by Will Arnett and Mark Chappell. It stars Arnett as Chip, a self-appointed "guru" who falls in love while he and many other members of the ensemble cast struggle with alcoholism and Alcoholics Anonymous. The first season consisted of eight episodes and was released on Netflix on March 11, 2016. In July 2016, the series was renewed for a six-episode second season, which premiered on June 2, 2017.
