The National Lacrosse League (NLL) is a men's professional box lacrosse league in North America. Headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the NLL currently has thirteen teams: eight in the United States and five in Canada. The NLL ranks third in average attendance for pro indoor sports worldwide, behind only the NHL and NBA. Unlike other box lacrosse leagues which play in the summer, the NLL plays its games in the winter and spring, from December to June. Each year, the playoff teams battle for the National Lacrosse League Cup. The NLL has averaged between 8,900 and 10,700 spectators per game each year since 2004.
The Philadelphia Wings were a member of the National Lacrosse League, a professional box lacrosse league in North America starting in 1987. They played at the Spectrum (1987–96) and then at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
William Earl Bergey is a former American football linebacker who played professionally for 12 seasons, most notably with the Philadelphia Eagles of National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals of the American Football League (AFL) in 1969, the year before the AFL–NFL merger was completed, and continued to play with the Bengals in the NFL until 1973. Bergey subsequently signed with the Eagles the following year, where he played seven seasons until retiring in 1981. During his career, Bergey was named to five Pro Bowls, was a two-time first-team All-Pro, and made one Super Bowl appearance in Super Bowl XV, his final professional game. He is an inductee of the Eagles Hall of Fame and the Philadelphia Sports Hall of Fame.
Malvern Preparatory School, commonly referred to as Malvern Prep, is an independent Catholic middle school and college preparatory high school for boys located in Malvern, Pennsylvania within the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. The school was started and is still run by Order of Saint Augustine, and is a member of the Augustinian Secondary Education Association. Malvern Prep is a member of the Inter-Academic League which also includes Episcopal Academy, Germantown Academy, Penn Charter, The Haverford School, and Springside Chestnut Hill Academy.
Tracey Kelusky is a Canadian former lacrosse player and current head coach of Panther City LC. Kelusky played for the Columbus Landsharks, Montreal Express, Calgary Roughnecks, Buffalo Bandits and Philadelphia Wings. While with the Roughnecks, Kelusky was named captain and lead them to titles in 2004 and 2009.
Brodie Merrill is a Canadian professional lacrosse player. He currently plays in the National Lacrosse League for the San Diego Seals and Premier Lacrosse League for the Cannons.

John Christmas is an American lacrosse player for the Philadelphia Wings of the National Lacrosse League and for the Boston Cannons of Major League Lacrosse.
Kyle Sweeney is an American professional lacrosse player who plays for the New York Lizards in Major League Lacrosse. He is the Vice President of Sports Nutrition at Medifast, and co-founder of the Gotham Lacrosse League.
Athan Iannucci is a professional lacrosse player. He played collegiate lacrosse at Hofstra University. Iannucci plays professional lacrosse for the Colorado Mammoth of the National Lacrosse League. He was a member of the now defunct St. Regis Indians of the Ontario Lacrosse Association's Senior-A Major Series Lacrosse. He plays in the summer months for the WLA Langley Thunder.
Tony Resch is a retired lacrosse player, and current field and box lacrosse coach. He is the former head coach of the Philadelphia Wings of the National Lacrosse League from 1994 to 2001, and led the Wings to four Championships. Resch was named to the NLL Hall of Fame in 2008. Resch returned to coaching as the head coach of the Philadelphia Barrage of Major League Lacrosse. Resch graduated from Yale University, where he was a two-time All-American and three-time First Team All-Ivy League player.
Kyle Fiat is professional lacrosse player who plays for the Philadelphia Wings in the National Lacrosse League and the Washington Bayhawks in Major League Lacrosse. Outside of lacrosse, Fiat is a physical education teacher at Dulaney High School near Baltimore, Maryland. He extravagantly dominates plyometrics and spreads his knowledge of the activity with his many weight training students.
Maxwell Oren Seibald is a former professional lacrosse player for the Boston Cannons of Major League Lacrosse. He played midfield position. He graduated in 2009 from Cornell University. He is a former Tewaaraton Award winner, and two-time Team USA player. He played for Team Israel in 2018.
Patrick Pat Heim is a professional lacrosse player who plays for the Boston Cannons in Major League Lacrosse and the Philadelphia Wings in the National Lacrosse League.
Brett Queener is an American lacrosse player. He is currently a member of the Chrome Lacrosse Club in the Premier Lacrosse League and was selected by the Philadelphia Wings of the National Lacrosse League. He never played for them. Queener is best known as a field lacrosse goaltender, however he plays an offensive position in indoor box lacrosse. Queener is currently the head coach of the Gulf Coast High School varsity lacrosse team.
James "J.R." Castle of Glenside, Pennsylvania, is a former American lacrosse player with the Philadelphia Wings of National Lacrosse League. A William Penn Charter School graduate, Castle played collegiate lacrosse with the Drexel Dragons, after transferring from the now-defunct North Carolina State lacrosse program. While at Drexel, Castle earned all-East Coast Conference honors.
Lacrosse has been played in Pennsylvania since the 19th century. There are many respected amateur programs at the club, college, and high school level, as well as several respected past and present professional teams in the National Lacrosse League (NLL) and Major League Lacrosse (MLL).
Patrick Crosby is an indoor lacrosse goaltender from Philadelphia, PA. Crosby played collegiate ice hockey for Temple University of the American Collegiate Hockey Association from 2003-2006. Crosby has played in the Three Nations Senior Lacrosse League, Quebec Senior Lacrosse League, Can-Am Senior B Lacrosse League as well as with the U.S. Indoor Lacrosse National Developmental Team (2009–2011). Crosby was selected to represent Slovakia at the 2011 FIL World Indoor Lacrosse Championship in Prague, CZ. Crosby played professionally for the Kentucky Stickhorses of the NALL where he was previously selected as the 3rd overall pick in the 2011 Entry Draft. Crosby is originally from Sayreville, NJ.
The Philadelphia Wings are a professional box lacrosse team in the East Division of the National Lacrosse League. The Wings have played at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania since the 2018–2019 season.
