Georgia Moore is an Australian ice hockey defender. She was the first player from Australia to be selected in the CWHL draft, being drafted 61st overall by the Calgary Inferno in 2013. [1]

She has won the Joan McKowen Memorial Trophy twice with Melbourne. [2] She has also played Canadian football in the Western Women's Canadian Football League, and has represented Australia in inline hockey.

The Calgary Inferno was a women's ice hockey team that joined the Canadian Women's Hockey League (CWHL) for the 2011–12 season. The team played its home games at Joan Snyder Rink at WinSport Canada in Calgary, Alberta. After two seasons without an official name, in 2013 the team picked a moniker drawing from Calgary's National Hockey League franchise, the Calgary Flames, with whom they had a partnership. For the 2013-14 season, it was announced that all Inferno home-games would be streamed live by PCSN.tv.

Jessica Wong, also known by the Chinese name Wang Yuting, is a Canadian ice hockey player, a defenceman. She most recently played with the Chinese national ice hockey team and in the Zhenskaya Hockey League (ZhHL) with the KRS Vanke Rays during the 2021–22 season. She was drafted first overall in the 2013 CWHL Draft by the Calgary Inferno and played four seasons in the Canadian Women's Hockey League (CWHL).

The 2013 CWHL Draft was held in August 2013. Jessica Wong became the first visible minority selected with the first pick overall. Wong was also part of another unique piece of draft history. Her teammate from the Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs, Katie Wilson, was picked second overall. It marked the first time that two NCAA teammates were selected first and second overall.

Hayley Marie Moore is an American ice hockey executive and former player, currently the vice president of hockey operations of the American Hockey League (AHL). She previously served as the deputy commissioner of the National Women's Hockey League (NWHL) from 2017 to 2019, general manager of the Boston Pride of the NWHL from 2015 to 2017, and president of the Boston Pride from 2019 to 2021.

The 2017–18 CWHL season is the 11th season of the Canadian Women's Hockey League. This is also the first season in which the teams pay their players a salary. It would also prove to be the final full season in which Brenda Andress served as commissioner of the league, tendering her resignation on July 18, 2019.

The Shenzhen Vanke Rays were a women's ice hockey team that played in the 2017–18 season of the Canadian Women's Hockey League (CWHL). They were based in Shenzhen, Guangdong, China and played at the Shenzhen Dayun Arena. The team was developed along with the Kunlun Red Star WIH as part of the Chinese Ice Hockey Association (CIHA) in an effort to grow interest in ice hockey in China in preparation for the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing. Both teams debuted in the 2017–18 CWHL season. The general manager was Shirley Hon, who was named to the position on August 18, 2017.

She played in the CWHL with the Markham Thunder, and received the CWHL's 2018-2019 Rookie of the Year award.
