Georgios Karaminas is a Paralympic athlete from Greece who competes mainly in category F52 shot put events.
Georgios has competed in the shot put and javelin at every Paralympics between 1992 and 2008, but it was in the shot put in 2004 that he won his only a medal, a silver. [1]
Palestine participated in the 2004 Summer Paralympics in Athens, Greece. Palestine was represented by two athletes: Husam Azzam, who had won a bronze medal in the shot put in the previous Games, and Mohammed Fannouna, competing in the long jump and javelin events.
The State of Palestine compete as Palestine at the Paralympic Games. Their first participation came at the Sydney Paralympics in 2000, where Husam Azzam won bronze in the shot put event. Palestinian athletes have won three Paralympic medals to date: a silver and two bronze.

Namibia made its Paralympic Games début at the 1992 Summer Paralympics in Barcelona. These were the first Summer Paralympics to be held since the country's accession to independence from South Africa in 1990, and thus the first Games in which Namibia was able to take part. For its inaugural participation, the country sent just two athletes, both women, who both competed in discus, javelin and shot put. They did not win any medals.
Puerto Rico made its Paralympic Games début at the 1988 Summer Paralympics in Seoul, with a delegation of twelve competitors in archery, athletics, shooting and table tennis. It has participated in every subsequent edition of the Summer Paralympics. The country is set to first compete at the Winter Paralympics in 2022.
Suriname made its Paralympic Games début at the 2004 Summer Paralympics in Athens, sending two athletes to compete in the shot put. The country had a single representative in 2008 - a male sprinter. Suriname has never taken part in the Winter Paralympics, and has never won a Paralympic medal.
Bahrain made its Paralympic Games début the same year as its Olympic début, at the 1984 Summer Paralympics in Stoke Mandeville and New York City, sending a delegation to compete in athletics. Oman made its Paralympic Games début at the 1988 Summer Paralympics in Seoul, with competitors taking part in track and field, table tennis, weightlifting and wheelchair fencing. The country has participated in every subsequent edition of the Summer Paralympics, but has never entered the Winter Paralympics. Oman's largest delegation was in 1988 with seven athletes. Only male athletes competed until 2016 when Raya Al’Abri competed in women's javelin. Oman won its first medal at the 2020 Summer Paralympics when Mohammed al-Mashaykhi won bronze in the Men's shot put F32.
Qatar made its Paralympic Games début at the 1996 Summer Paralympics in Atlanta, with a single representative in powerlifting. The country has participated in every subsequent edition of the Summer Paralympics, but has never entered the Winter Paralympics. Qatar's delegations have only ever consisted in male athletes before 2016 Summer Paralympics, and have always been small, containing no more than three competitors. All Qatari athletes have competed in field events or in powerlifting.
Wu Qing is a Paralympic athlete from China competing in throwing events in the F36 cerebral palsy classification. As of April 2014, Wu holds F36 World Records for shot put, discus and javelin.
Marianne Buggenhagen is a Paralympian athlete from Germany competing mainly in throwing events.
Eva Berná is a Paralympian athlete from the Czech Republic competing mainly in category F37 shot put events.
Thierry Cibone is a Paralympic athlete competing in throwing events. He lives in New Caledonia and represents France in international competition. He has cerebral palsy.
Janusz Rokicki is a paralympic athlete from Poland competing mainly in category F57 shot put and discus events.
San Marino made its Paralympic Games début at the 2012 Summer Paralympics in London, sending a single, wildcard wheelchair athlete to compete in the shot put. He did not win a medal.
Georgios Arestis is a Cypriot athlete who competes in the shot put and discus throw. He represented his country at two Commonwealth Games and won multiple medals at the Games of the Small States of Europe.
