Gerald Davis (born December 12, 1985) is an American former professional football offensive lineman. He played college football for the Valdosta State Blazers. [2] Davis was a member of the New Orleans Saints, Hamilton Tiger-Cats, Edmonton Eskimos, Billings Outlaws and Sioux Falls Storm. [3] He has also been a graduate assistant at Augustana College.

The Valdosta State Blazers football program represents Valdosta State University in American football. The Blazers are a member of the Gulf South Conference (GSC) in NCAA Division II. Valdosta State University has had a football team since 1981. The Blazers play in Bazemore–Hyder Stadium in Valdosta, Georgia, which has a capacity of 11,249. The stadium is also the home of the historical Valdosta High School Wildcats. The Blazers have won a total of four Division II National Championship titles.

The Valdosta State Blazers are the athletic teams that represent the Valdosta State University, located in Valdosta, Georgia, in intercollegiate sports at the Division II level of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). The Blazers have primarily competed in the Gulf South Conference since the 1981–82 academic year.

The South Dakota Intercollegiate Conference (SDIC) was an NAIA-associated collegiate athletic conference that ceased operations following the 1999–2000 academic school year when it merged with the North Dakota College Athletic Conference to form the Dakota Athletic Conference. The SDIAC was formed in 1917 from twelve schools, though membership was down to five during World War II, as the religious schools formed the South Dakota College Conference. Those schools joined back in by 1948. From 1995 to 2000 seasons, the league was known as the South Dakota-Iowa Intercollegiate Conference, thanks to the addition of Dordt and Westmar colleges in Iowa. Westmar closed in 1997. The SDIIC split in 2000, with half of the schools heading to the DAC, while the other half joined the Great Plains Athletic Conference.

Joel A. Swisher was an American college football coach and athletics administrator. He served as the head football coach at Dakota State University (1973–1976), Augustana College in Sioux Falls, South Dakota (1977–1980), Adams State College (1982–1983), and Jamestown College (1992–1994), compiling a career college football head coaching record of 65–55–4. Swisher was also the athletic director at Dakota State from 1974 to 1977.

Ben Newcomb is a former American football and baseball coach. He served as the head football coach at Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois from 1969 to 1978, compiling a record of 55–34–1. Newcomb was also the head baseball coach at Eastern Illinois University for one season, in 1966, tallying a mark of 9–17. Newcomb graduated from Augustana College—now known as Augustana University—in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He coached in the public schools in Sioux Falls before moving to Eastern Illinois. Newcomb resigned as head football coach at Augustana following the 1978 season to become director of the school's College Center.

Herman Jerome Thompson was an American football and baseball player and coach. He served as the head football coach at Upsala College in East Orange, New Jersey in 1947, Augustana University in Sioux Falls, South Dakota from 1948 to 1950, and Ripon College in Ripon, Wisconsin from 1956 to 1957. Thompson was also the head baseball coach at Augustana from 1950 to 1951.

The 1958 North Dakota Fighting Sioux football team, also known as the Nodaks, was an American football team that represented the University of North Dakota in the North Central Conference (NCC) during the 1958 college football season. In its second year under head coach Marvin C. Helling, the team compiled a 5–3 record, finished in sixth place out of seven teams in the NCC, and outscored opponents by a total of 157 to 85. The team played its home games at Memorial Stadium in Grand Forks, North Dakota.

Michael Aldrich is an American football coach. He was the head coach for the Sioux Falls Storm of the National Indoor Football League (NIFL) from 2001 to 2002. He was also the head football coach for Augustana University in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, from 2010 to 2012 and Minot State University from 2017 to 2022. He previously coached for St. Olaf, College of the Sequoias, Cal Lutheran, Louisville, Wayne State (NE), and Southwest Minnesota State. He played college football for St. Olaf.
