Buster Faulkner (born September 19, 1981) is an American football coach and former player. He is the offensive coordinator and tight ends coach for Georgia Tech.
Faulkner played three years at Valdosta State, passing for 7,100 yards and 64 touchdowns while helping the team achieve a 47–6 record. His best year for Valdosta State came during his sophomore year where he completed 327 of 503 passes for 3,941 yards and 44 touchdowns. He helped lead the Blazers to a 14–1 record and an appearance in the national championship game. [1] Faulkner transferred to Texas A&M-Commerce for his senior year. [2] In his lone season with Texas A&M-Commerce, he passed for 2,861 and 16 touchdowns, setting 10 school records. [1]
Faulkner started his coaching career in 2005 as a student assistant for Valdosta State. After one year at Valdosta State, Faulkner became a graduate assistant at Georgia for the 2006 season. Faulkner then returned to Valdosta State as their quarterbacks coach for one season, after which he was promoted to be their offensive coordinator. Faulkner then moved on to Central Arkansas for the 2009 season as the team's quarterbacks coach. [3] Faulkner was then hired as the offensive coordinator and quarterback coach for the Murray State Racers. [4] In 2011 Faulkner was hired by Middle Tennessee as their quarterbacks coach. [5] However mid-way through the 2011 season offensive coordinator Willie Simmons was charged with aggravated assault and resigned from his job, resulting in Faulkner being promoted to offensive coordinator. [6] After four season with Middle Tennessee State, Faulkner moved to Arkansas State as their offensive coordinator. [7] [8] After three years with Arkansas State, Faulkner became the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Southern Miss. [9] [10] After one season with Southern Miss, Faulkner left for Georgia to be an offensive quality control coach for them. [11] [12] In his three years with Georgia he won two national championships. [13] Faulkner would then be hired by Georgia Tech as their offensive coordinator and tight ends coach. [14] [15]
Joshua Kenneth Heupel is an American college football coach and former player who is the head football coach at the University of Tennessee. Previously he was head coach at the University of Central Florida, where he compiled a 28–8 record.

Arthur Gustavo Malzahn III is an American football coach who is the offensive coordinator at Florida State. He was the head coach at the University of Central Florida (UCF) from 2021 to 2024, Auburn University from 2013 to 2020, and Arkansas State in 2012. He also served as offensive coordinator at Auburn from 2009 to 2011; in that role, he helped lead the 2010 Auburn Tigers to a national championship victory. As head coach at Auburn, he led the team to a SEC Championship win and an appearance in the 2014 National Championship. Malzahn has coached Heisman Trophy winner Cam Newton and two Heisman candidates: Nick Marshall and Tre Mason, including coaching 14 All-Americans. During Malzahn's tenure at Auburn, he was the second-longest tenured head coach at one school in the SEC, behind Nick Saban.
Chris Hatcher is an American football coach and former player. He is the head football coach at Samford University, a position he has held since 2014. Hatcher served as the head football coach at Valdosta State University from 2000 to 2006, Georgia Southern University from 2007 to 2009, and Murray State University from 2010 to 2014. His Valdosta State Blazers won the NCAA Division II Football Championship in 2004. Hatcher played college football as a quarterback at Valdosta State from 1991 to 1994.
Jonathan David Crompton is an American former professional football player who was a quarterback in the National Football League (NFL) and Canadian Football League (CFL). He played college football for the Tennessee Volunteers. After being selected by the San Diego Chargers in the fifth round of the 2010 NFL draft. Crompton was briefly a member of the NFL's New England Patriots, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Washington Redskins. In addition, he played for the Edmonton Eskimos and Montreal Alouettes of the CFL. On March 27, 2023. he was named head coach of his former high school Tuscola in Waynesville, NC.
William James O'Brien, nicknamed "Teapot", is an American football coach who is currently the head coach at Boston College. Previously, he was the head coach of the Houston Texans from 2014 to 2020, and at Penn State from 2012 to 2013. Prior to Boston College, O'Brien was the offensive coordinator at the University of Alabama and for the New England Patriots. After the Patriots parted ways with longtime head coach Bill Belichick at the end of the 2023 season, O'Brien was not retained by the team.
Daniel "Sonny" Dykes is an American football coach, and a former college baseball player. He is currently the head football coach at Texas Christian University (TCU), and previously served in the same role at Southern Methodist University (SMU) from 2018 to 2021, the University of California, Berkeley from 2013 to 2016, and Louisiana Tech University from 2010 to 2012. In his first season at TCU, he led the Horned Frogs to a win in the semifinal and an appearance in the National Championship game.
David Dean is an American college football coach and former player. He is the head coach at Lanier County High School in Lakeland, Georgia, a position he has held since 2024. He was the head football coach for the University of West Georgia from 2017 to 2023. Dean served as the head football coach at Valdosta State University from 2007 to 2015, compiling a record of 79–27 in nine seasons. His team won the NCAA Division II Football Championship in 2007 and in 2012.
Alexander Christian Mortensen is an American football coach and former player. He played college football as a quarterback for the Arkansas Razorbacks and the Samford Bulldogs. He was signed by the Tennessee Titans as an undrafted free agent in 2009.
Daniel Patrick Enos is an American football coach and former player who is the offensive analyst at the University of Florida. He was previously the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at the University of Arkansas. He was the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at the University of Miami in 2019. Enos served as head football coach at Central Michigan University from 2010 to 2014. He was also running backs coach at Michigan State University, where he played as a quarterback from 1987 to 1990.
In American football, the air raid offense is an offensive scheme popularized by such coaches as Hal Mumme, Mike Leach, Sonny Dykes, and Tony Franklin during their respective tenures at Iowa Wesleyan University, Valdosta State, Kentucky, Oklahoma, Texas Tech, Louisiana Tech, and Washington State.
Bryan Dale Harsin is an American college football coach. He is the offensive coordinator at California. He was the head coach at Auburn Tigers from 2021–2022. Prior to coaching at Auburn, he coached the Boise State University Broncos from the 2014 season through the 2020 season where he posted a 69–19 overall record. He began his head coaching career at Arkansas State University for the 2013 season. Harsin was the co-offensive coordinator at the University of Texas for two seasons. Before leaving for Texas in 2011, Harsin was an assistant at Boise State for 10 seasons, the last five as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.
James Allen Chaney is an American football coach and former player. He is the offensive coordinator for Georgia State University, a position he has held since 2024. He previously served as an offensive analyst for the Texas A&M Aggies. Chaney previously served as the offensive coordinator for the University of Georgia from 2016 to 2018. Chaney also served as the offensive coordinator at University of Arkansas from 2013 to 2014 and University of Tennessee from 2009 to 2012, assuming the role of interim head coach for the final game of the 2012 season after Derek Dooley was fired. He was also the offensive coordinator at the University of Tennessee from 2019 to 2020, under Head Coach Jeremy Pruitt
Will Hall is an American college football coach. He most recently served as the head coach for the University of Southern Mississippi. Hall served as the head football coach at the University of West Alabama from 2011 to 2013 and at the University of West Georgia 2014 to 2016. He also served as offensive coordinator for the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2017. He grew up in Mississippi and attended the University of North Alabama where he played quarterback from 2002 to 2003. He won the Harlon Hill Trophy in 2003. He began his coaching career in 2004 and held assistant coaching positions at Presbyterian, Henderson State, Southwest Baptist, Arkansas-Monticello and West Alabama.
Rhett Lashlee is an American college football coach who is the head coach at Southern Methodist University. He previously served as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Auburn University from 2013 to 2016 and offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at the University of Miami from 2020 to 2021.
