John Jancek (born April 1, 1968) is an American college football coach and former defensive lineman. He is married to his wife Kelly Jancek. Jancek has four sons Brady, Jack, Brock, and Zac.
Jancek was a defensive lineman for the Grand Valley State Lakers from 1988 through 1990. [1]
Jancek started his coaching career after his playing days ended following the 1990 season. In 1991, he stayed at Grand Valley State as a graduate assistant. [2] In 1992, he left for Wayne State in Detroit, Michigan to be their defensive coordinator. [3] He remained at Wayne State until 1994, when he left for Hillsdale College to take on the same role. In 1999, he returned to Grand Valley State to be their defensive coordinator. [4] He left for Central Michigan in 2002 to be their defensive line coach. [5] In 2005, he joined the Georgia Bulldogs coaching staff as the linebackers coach. [6] In 2009, he was promoted to co-defensive coordinator. In 2010, he left for the same role at Cincinnati. In 2012, he became the sole defensive coordinator for the Bearcats. In 2013, he returned to the SEC, this time as the Tennessee defensive coordinator, where he stayed until the 2015 season. [7] He left for South Florida in 2016, where he was the safeties coach. [8] In 2017, he joined the Kentucky Wildcats as a defensive consultant. [9] In 2018, he was named as the Colorado State Rams' defensive coordinator. [10] Following the last game of the 2019 season, Bobo left the head coach position at CSU and Steve Addazio was hired to be the new head coach of CSU, leaving Jancek and his position in question. In 2020, Jancek was brought on as a defensive quality control coach for Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs football program. Jancek was part of the Bulldogs' staff that won the National Championship in the 2021 season over Alabama [11]
Jancek and his wife, Kelly, have four sons, Zac, Brock, Jack, and Brady. Zac currently is a defensive analyst for the Arkansas State Red Wolves football team. [12] Jack currently is a wide receiver for the Tennessee Volunteers football team. [13]
Russell Dean Pees is a former American football coach who spent 18 seasons in the National Football League (NFL). He has served as the defensive coordinator for the New England Patriots, Baltimore Ravens, Tennessee Titans, and Atlanta Falcons. Pees was also the head coach at Kent State University from 1998 to 2003, compiling a record of 17–51.
Jeffrey Todd Grantham is an American football coach who is the defensive line coach for the New Orleans Saints of the National Football League (NFL). He previously served as defensive coordinator at the University of Florida.
Derek Dooley is an American football coach and former player who last served as a senior offensive analyst for the Alabama Crimson Tide. He served as the head football coach at Louisiana Tech University from 2007 to 2009 and the University of Tennessee from 2010 to 2012.
Lyle Allen "Butch" Jones Jr. is an American football coach who is currently the head coach at Arkansas State University. Jones previously served as a special assistant to the head coach and offensive analyst at the University of Alabama from 2018 to 2020, the head coach at the University of Tennessee from 2013 to 2017, the University of Cincinnati from 2010 to 2012 and Central Michigan University from 2007 to 2009. A Michigan native, he played college football at Ferris State University as a running back and wide receiver.
Robert Michael Bobo is an American college football coach who is currently the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at the University of Georgia, his alma mater. He was the head coach at Colorado State from 2015 to 2019.
James Frank McElwain is an American football coach. He is the head football coach at Central Michigan University, a position he has held since 2019. McElwain served as the head football coach at the University of Florida from 2015 to 2017, and Colorado State University from 2012 to 2014, where he was named the Mountain West Conference Coach of the Year in 2014. He was the offensive coordinator at the University of Alabama from 2008 to 2011.
Merritt James Norvell III is an American college football coach and former player. He is the head football coach at Colorado State University, a position he has held since the 2022 season. Norvell served as the head football coach at the University of Nevada, Reno from 2017 to 2021. His father, Merritt Norvell, was the athletic director at Michigan State University from 1995 to 1998.
Bob Shoop is an American football coach who is the current defensive backs coach for the Birmingham Stallions of the United Football League (UFL). He also served as an off-field defensive analyst for the University of Miami, with previous service as defensive coordinator at Mississippi State, Tennessee, Penn State, and Vanderbilt. Shoop served as the head football coach at Columbia University from 2003 to 2005.
Chuck Heater is an American football coach and former player. He was a running back for the University of Michigan from 1972 to 1974 and finished his playing career as the fifth all-time leading rusher in Michigan Wolverines football history. Heater has been an assistant football coach at ten universities since 1976. He has been affiliated with College Football Hall of Fame coaches Bo Schembechler, Earle Bruce, and Lou Holtz. He has been on coaching staffs of national championship teams at Notre Dame (1988) and Florida.
James Allen Chaney is an American football coach and former player who is the offensive coordinator for the Georgia State Panthers as of March 2024. He previously served as an offensive analyst for the Texas A&M Aggies. Chaney previously served as the offensive coordinator for the University of Georgia from 2016 to 2018. Chaney also served as the offensive coordinator at University of Arkansas from 2013 to 2014 and University of Tennessee from 2009 to 2012, assuming the role of interim head coach for the final game of the 2012 season after Derek Dooley was fired. He was also the offensive coordinator at the University of Tennessee from 2019 to 2020, under Head Coach Jeremy Pruitt
Jeremy Pruitt is an American football coach who most recently was a senior defensive assistant for the New York Giants of the National Football League (NFL). He previously served as the head coach at the University of Tennessee from 2018 to 2020 and defensive coordinator at the University of Alabama from 2016 to 2017, University of Georgia from 2014 to 2015, and Florida State University in 2013.
T. J. Weist is an American football coach who is an assistant special teams coach for the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League (NFL). He was the senior offensive analyst for University of Michigan in 2015 and interim head coach of the Connecticut Huskies football team for the 2013 season.
The 2015 Georgia Bulldogs football team represented the University of Georgia in the 2015 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Bulldogs played their home games at Sanford Stadium. They were members of the Eastern Division of the Southeastern Conference. This was head coach Mark Richt's 15th and final season leading the program. Richt was relieved of his duties at the end of the regular season. Richt was originally slated to remain head coach for the team's bowl game, but he was replaced after he reached an agreement to become head coach of the Miami Hurricanes football team. Wide receivers coach Bryan McClendon was named interim head coach for the TaxSlayer Bowl against Penn State.

He previously served as an analyst at the University of Florida. Prior to that, Summers served as the defensive coordinator at the University of Colorado Boulder. Summers was the head football coach at Georgia Southern University from 2016 to 2017.
Mark Criner is an American football coach. He currently serves as the outside linebackers coach for the Southern Miss Golden Eagles football team. At the college football level, he served defensive coordinator for six seasons at the University of Idaho, and also held the same position at Middle Tennessee, Cincinnati, Portland State, the original XFL's Las Vegas Outlaws, and CSU–Pueblo. He has also worked as a defensive assistant at Minnesota, Eastern Michigan, Utah State, Lamar, LSU, the Alliance of American Football's Atlanta Legends, and Tulane. He was also the linebackers coach and assistant special teams coach for the Seattle Dragons.
Tim Banks, is an American college football coach and former player. He is the defensive coordinator and safeties coach for the University of Tennessee, a position he has held since 2021. He played college football for Central Michigan.
