Germany competed at the inaugural World Beach Games in Doha, Qatar from 12 to 16 October 2019. In total, athletes representing Germany won one gold medal and three bronze medals. [1] The country finished in 13th place in the medal table. [1]

The World Games, first held in 1981, are an international multi-sport event, meant for sports, or disciplines or events within a sport, that are not contested in the Olympic Games. The World Games are organised and governed by the International World Games Association (IWGA), recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). The World Games are held every four years, one year after the Summer Olympic Games. The next host city will be Birmingham, United States in 2022 then Chengdu, China in 2025.
Kerri Lee Walsh Jennings is an American professional beach volleyball player, three-time Olympic gold medalist, and a one-time Olympic bronze medalist. She is the beach volleyball career leader in both career victories and career winnings as of 2016, with 133 victories and $2,542,635 in winnings.
Lisa Maria Fernandez is a Puerto Rican-American, former collegiate 4-time First Team All-American, 3-time medal winning Olympian, right-handed hitting softball pitcher and third baseman, current softball assistant coach at UCLA, originally from Long Beach, California. She starred on both sides of the plate for the UCLA Bruins softball team from 1990-93 and won two National Championships. She continues to hold the UCLA records for career shutouts, WHIP and winning percentage. Fernandez established Olympic records in softball with 25 strikeouts in a game and the best batting average for a single tournament as a member of the United States Women's team; additionally, she is noted for having pitched in three consecutive gold medal games, getting a save in 1996, an extra-inning shutout in 2000 before concluding the run by cinching the 2004 medal in a 5-1 victory. Fernandez was named the #1 Greatest College Softball Player and is a USA Softball Hall of Fame honoree.
Alison Conte Cerutti is a Brazilian beach volleyball player. He plays as a blocker. In 2011, along with Emanuel Rego he won the Swatch FIVB World Tour in Prague, Czech Republic. and the silver medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics. He won the gold medal at the 2015 World Championships in Netherlands. and the gold medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio alongside teammate Bruno Schmidt. In 2019, Alison partnered with Álvaro Morais Filho. The team won their first gold medal at the FIVB Kuala Lumpur event. The duo will be also competing in the Tokyo 2020 journey.
Melissa Humana-Paredes is a female Canadian beach volleyball player, who is partnered with Sarah Pavan. She plays as a left-side defender. The pair won the women's gold medal at the 2019 Beach Volleyball World Championships.
Sarah Lindsey Pavan is a Canadian beach volleyball and former indoor volleyball player. She was part of the Canada women's national volleyball team at the 2010 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship in Japan. With Melissa Humana-Paredes she won the women's gold medal at the 2019 Beach Volleyball World Championships.
Mariafe Artacho del Solar is an Australian beach volleyball player. She represented Australia at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. Artacho del Solar plays as a right-side defender. According to the Women's FIVB World Rankings, she and partner Taliqua Clancy are ranked 5th as of 21 January 2020.
The World Beach Games is an international multi-sport event organized by the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC). The games are held every two years. The first edition was planned to be held in San Diego, United States from 10 to 15 October 2019, but was later relocated to Doha, Qatar after San Diego failed to raise the necessary funding.
The Sixth Asian Beach Games is due to be held in Sanya, China. Sanya would be the second Chinese city to host the Asian Beach Games, after Haiyang 2012.

She won the silver medal at the first ever European Games in 2015. Her first and only FIVB World Tour victory so far, came at a 3-star event in Mersin in 2018. She won a silver medal at the 2011 U19 World Championship and a bronze medal at the 2013 U21 World Championship, both competitions were held in Umag. She is also the 2011 U20 European Champion with Plesiutschnig.

She is also the 2011 U20 European Champion with Schützenhöfer.
The 2019 ISA World Surfing Games were held at Kisakihama Beach in Miyazaki, Japan, from 7 to 15 September 2019. The event was organised by the International Surfing Association (ISA).

Sandra Sánchez Jaime is a Spanish karateka. In 2018, she became world champion in the women's individual kata event at the 2018 World Championships in Madrid, Spain. She also won the gold medal in this event at the European Karate Championships in five consecutive years.
Damián Hugo Quintero Capdevila is a Spanish karateka. In 2019, he won the gold medal in the men's individual kata event at the 2019 European Games held in Minsk, Belarus. He is scheduled to represent Spain at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.
The Trinity Western Spartans men’s volleyball team is a university varsity volleyball program in Canada that represents Trinity Western University, competing in the Canada West Universities Athletics Association of U Sports. Based out of Langley, British Columbia, the Spartans play their home games at the Langley Events Centre, a multi-sport facility close to the main campus. Led by then head coach Ron Pike, the Spartans won their first ever National Championship in 2006, defeating the University of Alberta Golden Bears in the final by a score of 3-0. Since then, the Spartans have won five more championships, for a total of six, hoisting the Tantramar Trophy again in 2011, 2012, 2016, 2017, and 2019. Since 2007, the Spartans have been led by head coach Ben Josephson. In the Canada West conference, the Spartans have won the league title six times, taking the conference championship in 2007, 2012, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2020.
