Ghagga Kothi is a palatial mansion located in Ghagga town of Patiala District. It was built by the Maharaja of Patiala to accommodate himself and his guest who went there to hunt. It was taken over by Punjab Police after accession of Patiala State into India.
Ghagga Kothi is a tiny square fortress in about 8 acres (32,000 m2) with a very beautiful rest house built in the middle. The rest house was converted to a Station Head Office for Punjab Police with the Officer's residence on the upper floor.
There used to be another building near the Kothi outside the 'wall', on the south-west side known as Lassi Khaana. The building used to serve as the kitchen to the guests at the Kothi.
During hunting expeditions the Viceroy of India and Prince of Wales once stayed here.
Due to poor upkeep by the government, Lassi Khaana looked deserted ruins for long time, eventually met the dust.[ clarification needed ]

Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL), is a public law school and a National Law University located in Patiala, Punjab, India. It was established in 2006 by the Punjab Government as a university dedicated to the field of Legal Education. The first vice-chancellor of the University was Gurjit Singh. The institution is currently being headed by Prof (DR.) Jai Shankar Singh. RGNUL started functioning from its Headquarters-Mohindra Kothi, The Mall, Patiala w.e.f. 26 May 2006. From session of 2013 RGNUL started functioning in its permanent 50-acre (20 ha) campus which is located at scenic Sidhuwal, 12 km (7.5 mi) from Patiala. RGNUL is affiliated to UGC and approved by the Bar Council of India. It is one of the autonomous law schools in India.
