Ghost Ship is a contemporary worship music band from Seattle, Washington, United States. They are on the BEC Recordings label and Mars Hill Music. In 2013, the band released the critically acclaimed and commercially successful album entitled The Good King .

Background

In 2009, Ghost Ship formed at Mars Hill Church's Downtown Seattle campus in Seattle, Washington. They were one of the worship bands at the church, alongside Ivan & Alyosha, Elysium, and Thunderoso.

Music

In 2013, the band was signed to BEC Recordings, when the partnership with Mars Hill Music took place. [2]

A River with No End EP

On November 15, 2011, the EP with Mars Hill Music was released, which was the first EP by the band, but it never charted. [3] [4]

The Good King

On June 11, 2013, Ghost Ship released The Good King on BEC Recordings in association with Mars Hill Music. [5] [6] [7] The Good King charted at No. 28 and No. 22 on the Top Christian Albums and the Top Heatseekers Albums charts respectively, for the Billboard charting week of June 29, 2013. [8] [9] [10] The album garnered critical acclaim by music critics, which gave only one mixed review.

Costly

Their second studio album, Costly , was released on August 28, 2015, by BEC Recordings.

To the End

Their third studio album, To the End , was released on August 9, 2019, by BEC Recordings. The songs were written over a four year period of brokenness and healing, with each song accessing a different snapshot of God speaking into despair and providing hope. [11]

Based on a short story written by lead singer Cedric Bixler-Zavala and sound manipulation artist Jeremy Michael Ward, the concept album is an hour-long tale of Cerpin Taxt, a man who enters a week-long coma after overdosing on a mixture of morphine and rat poison. Falling Up (band) American Christian rock band

Falling Up was an American Christian rock band from Albany, Oregon. Falling Up formed in October 2001, and released their debut album Crashings in 2004. They were signed to BEC Recordings in 2003 after a recommendation from friends in the band Kutless. The band's name came from the first song they wrote, which talked about their belief in both human imperfection and in the grace of God which compensates for that imperfection; their lyrics were heavily grace-themed.

Hillsong United Australian worship band

Hillsong United is a worship band that originated as a part of Hillsong Church. Formed in 1998 as part of Hillsong's youth ministry, the band consists of several rotating worship leaders from the church, including Joel Houston, Taya Smith-Gaukrodger, Matt Crocker, Jonathon Douglass, Brooke Fraser, Jad Gillies and Benjamin Hastings. Tomo Miličević American musician (born 1979)

Tomislav "Tomo" Miličević is a Croatian-American musician and record producer. He was the lead guitarist of the rock band Thirty Seconds to Mars from 2003 to 2018. Born in Sarajevo but raised in the United States, Miličević moved to Troy, Michigan in the early 1980s, where he became active in the local heavy metal scene and played in a number of bands, co-founding Morphic. In 2003, he joined Thirty Seconds to Mars, with whom he achieved worldwide recognition in the mid-2000s after recording the band's second album A Beautiful Lie (2005). Ivan & Alyosha American band

Ivan & Alyosha, also known as I&A, is a folk-pop, indie, rock band from Seattle, Washington formed in 2007 by Tim Wilson and Ryan Carbary. They were later joined by Pete Wilson and Tim Kim and added Cole Mauro to complete the group. In 2009 the band was recognized nationally by NPR during coverage of SXSW. Ivan & Alyosha's songs are represented by Downtown Music Publishing.

The Head and the Heart American indie folk band

The Head and the Heart is an American indie folk band. They were formed in the summer of 2009 by Josiah Johnson and Jonathan Russell. Kings Kaleidoscope is an American alternative rock band based in Seattle, led by producer, singer and songwriter Chad Gardner. Their music features an eclectic range of electronic, woodwind, string and brass instruments, with a musical style described as indie rock meets hip hop production with a sprinkle of Disney. Kings Kaleidoscope has recorded five EPs and four LPs.
