Giacomo Boselli (1744 -1808) was an Italian ceramics sculptor and painter, of the Rococo period.
Trained in Marseille and Liguria, he mainly worked in his native town of Savona in his father's factory producing painted porcelain, maiolica, and earthenware. His wife Clara (Chiarina) Boselli was a skilled painter. In 2006, he was the focus of an exhibition titled The Spring of Giacomo Boselli which traveled from Savona to Genoa.

Giacomo Balla was an Italian painter, art teacher and poet best known as a key proponent of Futurism. In his paintings he depicted light, movement and speed. He was concerned with expressing movement in his works, but unlike other leading futurists he was not interested in machines or violence with his works tending towards the witty and whimsical.
Don Bosco Anthony Boselli Jr. is a former American football offensive tackle who played in the National Football League (NFL) for seven seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He played college football at USC, where he was recognized as a first-team All-American. Boselli was the first player drafted by the Jaguars, who selected him second overall in the 1995 NFL Draft.

The Marquisate of Finale was an Italian state in what is now Liguria, part of the former medieval Aleramici March. It was ruled for some six centuries by the Aleramici branch known as marquesses del Vasto and later Del Carretto, when Savona became a free commune. In 1598 the Marquisate was sold by its last marquis, Sforza Andrea to Philip II of Spain and in 1713 it was finally ceded to the Republic of Genoa, where it remained so until 1797, when it was invaded by Napoleon, ceasing its existence.

Lament over the Dead Christ is a 1526–1530 oil on canvas painting by Moretto da Brescia, now in the National Gallery of Art in Washington. Painted late in the painter's youth, it shows strong similarities to the central panel of Paolo Caylina the Younger's Deposition Altarpiece from around the same time, though there are also notable differences in their use of color, such as the brighter and clearer colors used by Moretto. Some of the elements reused by Moretto in Lament recurred later in his career, so the work gives a clear idea of Moretto's training and education as an artist.
