Giang Le-Huy (Vietnamese: Lê-Huy Giang) was born in Saigon, South Vietnam. Giang left her homeland in 1975. She then lived in various countries before settling in Australia. She has been living in South Australia since 1985.
Giang first entered the Australian film industry in 1998 as an actor in a film entitled "Spank" and then in "Peaches" (2002) and "Swing" (2007). "Swing" received the Best Film Award for 2007 at St Kilda Film Festival. [1] In "Swing", Giang acted as well as played zither in the background for a small part of the film.
In addition to acting, Giang does voice work on the radio. In 2007 together with other casts, Giang’s voice sounded in the "Songs in the Blood" produced by the Radio Adelaide. [2] [3] The "Songs in the Blood" won a Silver medal in the New York Festival. [4]
Giang studied and worked in the banking industry in Vietnam. Since the early years of her life, Giang had been interested in acting.[ citation needed ] After deciding to permanently settle in Australia, Giang attended a drama course in South Australia. Giang continued studying and received formal training. She worked in various areas including Couple Therapy, Financial Counselling, Family Support and Australian Migration Law while tirelessly and voluntarily helping refugees and migrants settle in South Australia.[ citation needed ]
As an active advocate for women in various areas including employment, health, recreation and life styles, Giang took up and successfully completed a post graduate course in Women’s Studies at the University of Adelaide.[ citation needed ]
As registered with the Migration Agents Registration Authority, [5] Giang provided free advice to refugees and migrants on the Australian Migration law from 1992 until she retired from this industry at the end of 2006. Giang still advocates for women, practises as a qualified Couple Therapist and helps the community in her capacity as a Justice of the Peace, [6] for South Australia.
Between 1990 and 2008, Giang was employed as a Multicultural Services Program Co-ordinator for a community welfare agency in Adelaide, managing and training cultural staff from Spain, Afghanistan, Chile, Iran, Iraq, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Sudan, Germany, Poland, Bosnia, Cambodia, Albania, Russia etc. providing various services to their own communities. In addition to that, in 1998, Giang created an annual Multicultural Festival, [7] for refugees and migrants to showcase and maintain their cultures in Australia; and speed up their settlement.
After spending more than 20 years in assisting many ethnic people and communities in the social and welfare work in South Australia, Giang left paid work in late 2008 to pursue a new path in Metaphysics and Complementary and Alternative Medicine with all its various holistic therapies.
In 2003, Giang was awarded a Centenary Medal by the Governor-General of Australia for her services, particularly in the social and welfare service to refugee communities. In 2006, Giang received a Rotary International Outstanding Employee Award.
In Vietnamese literature, Giang appears under the pen name of Hoàng Huy Giang. [8] [9] Some of her popular stories are "Tà Áo Bay Bên Trời Quê Đất Khách" (re the history of the Vietnamese costume "Ao Dai") [10] and "Trăng Vỡ Trên Đỉnh Hoàng Liên Sơn" (The moon broken on the summit of Mt Fansipan). [11] Giang has published two Vietnamese poems and novels books entitled "Khi Người Ta Đang Yêu" (1997 – ISBN 0-646-30790-8) and "Màu Tím Pensée" (2004 – ISBN 0-646-43251-6).
Overseas Vietnamese are Vietnamese people who live outside Vietnam. There are approximately 5 million overseas Vietnamese, the largest community of whom live in the United States.
Vietnamese Canadians are Canadian citizens of Vietnamese ancestry. As of 2021, there are 275,530 Vietnamese Canadians, most of whom reside in the provinces of Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta, and Quebec.
The National Emblem of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam or simply the Emblem of Vietnam, has been one of the official national symbols representing the Socialist Republic of Vietnam since 1976. It is designed circular and based on the symbolism of the Vietnamese national flag, having a red background and a yellow star in the middle which represent the five main classes in Vietnamese society—intellectuals, farmers, workers, business people and military personnel; the revolutionary history and bright future of Vietnam. The cog and crops represent the cooperation of agriculture and industrial labor.
The Anarchy of the 12 Warlords, also the Period of the 12 Warlords, was a period of chaos and civil war in the history of Vietnam, from 965 to 968 caused by the succession of the Ngô dynasty after the death of King Ngô Quyền. This period is also sometimes simply called the Twelve Warlords. Four of the warlords are verified to have traced their direct lineage from what is now China today. This period ended in 968 with the unification war of Vietnam by Đinh Bộ Lĩnh, who later established the Đinh dynasty.
Paris By Night 89: In Korea is a Paris By Night program that was filmed at the Olympic Fencing Gymnasium at the Olympic Park in Seoul, South Korea on Sunday, July 1, 2007. It is Thúy Nga's first venture into Asia to tape a Paris By Night program. Thúy Nga chose to tape at South Korea, rather than any other country in Asia simply because of the popularity of Korean actors and singers to the Vietnamese community. The program is directed by a Korean director, Seounghyun Oh. It is Thúy Nga's fourth "Live" show.
Paris By Night 91: Huế, Sài Gòn, Hà Nội is a Paris By Night program produced by Thúy Nga that was filmed at the Terrace Theater at the Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center on January 12, 2008 and January 13, 2008.
Paris By Night 96 - Nhạc Yêu Cầu 2 is a Paris By Night program produced by Thúy Nga that was filmed at the Knott's Berry Farm on April 18, 2009 and April 19, 2009 and release DVD from June 25, 2009. The show was MC'ed by Nguyễn Ngọc Ngạn and Nguyễn Cao Kỳ Duyên.
2nd Corps or Hương Giang Corps was a regular army corps of the Vietnam People's Army. First organised in 1974 during the Vietnam War, 2nd Corps had a major role in the Ho Chi Minh Campaign that ended the war. Before disbanded on 21 November 2023, the corps was stationed in Lạng Giang District, Bắc Giang.
4th Corps or Cửu Long Corps was one of the three regular army corps of the People's Army of Vietnam. First organized in 1974 during the Vietnam War, 4th Corps had a major role in the Ho Chi Minh Campaign and the Cambodian–Vietnamese War. Before disband, the corps was stationed in Dĩ An, Bình Dương.

The Hồ Chí Minh Prize is an honorary award given by the government of Vietnam in recognition of cultural and/or scientific achievement. The prize was established by decree in 1981, and has been awarded in 1996, 2000, 2005 and 2012, often posthumously. The prize is named for Ho Chi Minh, who was Chairman and founder of the Workers' Party of Vietnam, that is considered one of the highest honors bestowed by Vietnam.

Cuộc chiến không giới tuyến is a TV series produced by Vietnam Television Film Center, Vietnam Television and General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, directed by Nguyễn Danh Dũng. The series airs at 9:00 p.m from Monday to Friday every week starting from September 11, 2023, and ending on November 8, 2023, on channel VTV1.
