Giantslayer Records was an American independent record label specializing in country music. It was established in 2004 by songwriters Rory Lee Feek and Tim Johnson in Nashville, Tennessee.

Songwriters included Rory Lee Feek born in Atchison, Kansas. Feek has co-written Blake Shelton's Number One single "Some Beach", as well as Top 5 hits for Clay Walker ("The Chain of Love") and Collin Raye ("Someone You Used to Know"). He and Joey Martin founded the duo Joey + Rory in 2008. Tim Johnson, cofounder, grew up in western Oregon. He has written more than one hundred country music songs for other artists, including hits for George Strait, Mark Chesnutt, Tracy Byrd, Diamond Rio, and Alan Jackson. Other writers added later to the list included Helen Darling, Blaine Larsen, Mandy McCauley (MixMasterMandy), Paul Sikes and Jamie Teachenor.

The label's first release was Blaine Larsen's 2004 album In My High School, which was re-issued in 2005 as Off to Join the World on BNA Records in association with Giantslayer.

In December 2007, Giantslayer and Capitol Records released a Christmas song entitled "Bring Him Home Santa". Written by Feek and Johnson, the song was sung by an anonymous six-year-old girl and credited to the Song Trust. [1] On the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart dated for the week of January 5, 2008, "Bring Him Home Santa" reached a peak of #29. Song Trust released an album, The Dog Singer, on June 16, 2009. The album's first single, "Choose Me," was released to country radio in July 2009.

Blaine Larsen is an American country music artist. He was raised in Buckley, Washington. At age fifteen, he recorded his debut album In My High School on Giantslayer Records, an independent record label. The album was re-issued in 2005 as Off to Join the World by BNA Records. Blaine's second album, Rockin' You Tonight, was issued in June 2006, also on BNA. Larsen's two albums for that label have produced five chart singles on the Hot Country Songs charts, of which the highest-peaking was "How Do You Get That Lonely" at number 18. Larsen left BNA in 2009, in favor of Treehouse Records and consequently with Stroudavarious Records, but is now unsigned.

In My High School is the debut album of American country music artist Blaine Larsen. It was released on 1 June 2004 on the independent label, Giantslayer Records. Its lead-off single, "In My High School", also released in 2004 peaked at number 60 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks.

Joey + Rory was an American country and bluegrass duo composed of singer-songwriters Rory Lee Feek and Joey Feek, who were husband and wife. Both members of the duo were vocalists and songwriters, with Rory also playing acoustic guitar. Rory Lee Feek had written singles for other artists prior to the duo's foundation. The duo was the third-place finalist on CMT's competition Can You Duet in 2008. The duo recorded eight studio albums for Vanguard Records and Gaither Music Group and charted three singles on Hot Country Songs.

"Teaching Me How to Love You" previously appeared on Blaine Larsen's debut album Off to Join the World, which was co-produced by Rory Lee Feek and featured Joey Feek on backing vocals.
