Giedrius Surplys (born 26 May 1980) [1] is a Lithuanian politician. He served as Minister of Agriculture in the cabinet of Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis from 15 May 2018 to 7 August 2019. [2]
Lithuania has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 23 times since its debut in 1994,where Ovidijus Vyšniauskas finished last,receiving "nul points". Lithuania withdrew from the contest,not returning until 1999. LT United's sixth place in 2006 with the song "We Are the Winners" is Lithuania's best result in the contest. The country reached the top ten for a second time in 2016,when Donny Montell finished ninth with "I've Been Waiting for This Night",and for the third time in 2021,finishing eighth with The Roop and "Discoteque".
Giedrius Gustas is a former Lithuanian professional basketball player. At the height of 1.90 m tall and a weight of 86 kg,he mainly played at the point guard position. During his club playing career,as a member of Žalgiris Kaunas,he won the EuroLeague championship in 1999. As a member of the Barons LMT,he won the Europe Cup championship in 2008. He was also a member of the senior Lithuanian national team,and with Lithuania,he won the gold medal at the 2003 EuroBasket and the bronze medal at the 2007 EuroBasket.

The Socialist People's Front is a left-wing political association in Lithuania formed in December 19,2009,from a merger of the Front Party and Lithuanian Socialist Party. Held at Vilnius University,the party's foundation featured 102 delegates. The merger was approved by an affirmative vote of 96 delegates,with three against and one abstaining. The leader of the Lithuanian Socialist Party,Giedrius Petružis,refused candidacy for chairperson of the merged party,claiming a desire to return to academic life. The leader of the Front Party,Algirdas Paleckis,was unanimously chosen as the leader of the SPF.

BC Dzūkija was a professional basketball club located in Alytus,Lithuania. It was founded in 2012 and participated in the Lietuvos krepšinio lyga (LKL). It was the newest basketball club based in Alytus after BC Alita and BC Alytus were dissolved. The club was bought by Lithuanian businessman Gediminas Žiemelis in June 2022,who formed BC Wolves soon after.
