Gina Lam, known professionally as Ginalina, is a Canadian folk music singer, songwriter, children's musician, and children's author. [1]

Her music has received three Juno Awards nominations, [2] four Canadian Folk Music Awards nominations, [3] and two Western Canadian Music Awards. [4] She sings in English, French, Taiwanese, and Mandarin, [5] [6] and her children's song, "Small But Mighty", was featured as part of the CBC Music in the Classroom Challenge among 25 Canadian musicians. [7] She has appeared in festivals, including Folk on the Rocks, Festival du Bois, Bella Coola Music Festival, and Mariposa Folk Festival. [8] [9] [10] [11]

Ginalina's music videos have been aired on Universal Kids's "Get Up and Move", [12] Kidoodle.TV in Canada and the United States, [13] as well as on the Knowledge Network. [14] Books by Ginalina include The Mighty River (2020), the award-winning sequel, The Lively Forest (2021), [15] [16] and the final book in the trilogy, The Blooming Mountain (2022). [17]

Njacko Backo is a musician, poet, writer, composer, performer, and choreographer from Cameroon. He was born in 1958 and raised in a very musical family. He spent most of his childhood in a village called Bazou in western Cameroon where he was introduced to music. Like most children in his village, he began playing percussion and making instruments. However, with his Grandmother's assistance, Njacko met with the elders of the village who taught him to play music. He studied drumming, kalimba, percussion, and an African harp called zaa koua.

Irish Mythen is an Irish-born Canadian contemporary folk singer-songwriter. In recent years, Mythen has performed with Rod Stewart, Gordon Lightfoot and Lucinda Williams at major festival stages the world over. Mythen's first two full-length albums were Sweet Necessity in 2008 and Open Here in 2011. She moved to Prince Edward Island in 2007, where she won the Songwriter of the Year Award in 2016 for her song "Gypsy Dancer". Her third album, released in 2014 titled Irish Mythen, won the East Coast Music Association 2015 Roots Album of the Year. She was one of several female artists at the 2018 edition of the legendary Cambridge Folk Festival, who were singled out by the Guardian newspaper in their praise of new festival booker Bev Burton's female-heavy line-up for the festival.

Big Block Singsong is a Canadian children's animated musical television series and group created by Warren Brown and Adam Goddard. They are best known for their regular series of animated music videos which have aired as interstitial programming on channels such as Disney Junior in the United States, Nick Jr. in the UK, ABC Kids in Australia and CBC Kids in Canada since 2012 and as the winners of the Juno Award for Children's Album of the Year at the Juno Awards of 2020 for their album Greatest Hits, Vol. 4. It is directed, designed, and animated by Brown and composed and sung by Goddard.
