The Velosure Giordana Pro Cycling Team ( UCI team code:VGR) are a British UCI Continental cycling team. [1] [2]

Profile

The Velosure Giordana cycling team are sponsored by Node4, a Data Centre Services provider. The team rides senior professional events in the United Kingdom and Europe, other than the Grand Tours and UCI ProTour races. They also ride track events such as the Revolution.

In 2012 the team changed its name from Motorpoint to Node4-Giordana. [3] In 2014 It became Velosure Giordana [4]

The team has competed in every Tour de Georgia. The team was founded in 1992 by Raymond Cipollini and James Eichvalds. The team turned Pro in 1994 and hired Edward Beamon to be its director.

Ciarán Power is an Irish former professional racing cyclist, the first Irish cyclist to ride in a major tour since Stephen Roche in 1993. Power turned professional in 2000 with the Linda McCartney Racing Team and rode the 2000 Giro d'Italia, gaining 2 top ten stage finishes. When the McCartney team folded in 2001, Power joined the French Saint-Quentin–Oktos team before moving to the US the following season and joining Navigators.

Dean "Deano" Downing is an English retired bicycle racer, specialising in road cycling who last rode for NFTO Pro Cycling. Downing was educated at Wales High School and Sheffield Hallam University, where he graduated in 1998 with a degree in Construction Management. He rode for the DFL-Cyclingnews-Litespeed team in 2006 and is the older brother of former British champion Russell Downing. In 2004, he represented Great Britain at the World Track Championships.
