Giorgos Katsaounis (born 23 December 1982) is a professional Greek water polo player with Panathinaikos A.O., playing in the position of central defender (Center Back) during the 2012-13 Championship Period at A1 in Greece. He was a member of the Greece men's national water polo team, as well as the national teams in the Children, Adolescents and Junior Men categories.
Katsaounis was born in Athens and has a BA Degree from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens [UOA], Department of Physical Education and Sports Science. He also obtained a BSc Degree from National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in Physical Education and Sports Science with a specialty in Water Polo. Subsequently he graduated from Hult International Business School's Dubai Campus, with a Master of International Business.
Katsaounis began his career in 1997 with Vouliagmeni Nautical Club and was crowned Champion in the categories of Children, Adolescents and Junior Men. He won the Cup in the National Cup Tournament in 2000. In 2001-02 season, he played in the A1 League with A.O. Paleo Faliro.
In 2002, he returned to Vouliagmeni and played in A1 League until summer 2008. In 2008-09 season he played in the A1 League with Chios Nautical Club. In 2009 he joined Panionios G.S.S. and played in A1 League for the season 2009-10.
In September 2010, he returned with a two-year contract to Vouliagmeni. He has played in 6 final National A1 League, 6 final National Cup Tournaments a European final Len Trophy plus Europa Cup. He has participated in various European and World Tournaments with Greece's National Team.
In 2012, Vouliagmeni N.C. was crowned Champion in A1 National League and won the Cup in National Cup Tournament, getting both top water polo national trophies. In 2012-2013 season he played in the A1 League with Panathinaikos A.O. Sporadically he worked as water polo coach in junior teams and as venue supervisor in nautical clubs. He participated as a volunteer in Athens 2004 Olympic Games in the pools venue. [1]
Vouliagmeni is a seaside suburb and former municipality 20 km south of Athens city centre. Panionios G.S.S. Football Club, the Pan-Ionian Gymnastics Club of Smyrna, more commonly known as Panionios F.C. or simply Panionios, is a Greek football club based in Nea Smyrni, a suburban town in the Athens agglomeration, Greece. Part of Panionios G.S.S., Panionios F.C. is the oldest Greek football club.
Nea Smyrni Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Nea Smyrni, Greece. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of Panionios, which plays for the Gamma Ethniki. The all seated stadium holds 11,700 spectators and was built in 1939. Before full seating was installed in 1998 for the participation of Panionios in the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup its capacity was close to 19,000. The stadium is eligible to host UEFA Europa League matches and its football pitch dimensions are about average at 105x72m.
Ethnikos Piraeus F.C. is a Greek football club based in Piraeus and its parent sports club is Ethnikos OFPF. The club was officially formed on 21 November 1923 as KeravnosPiraeus, but existed unofficially since 1922. One year later the club was renamed to Young Boys Titan, after some players' secession that formed Peiraikos Podosfairikos Omilos. The club was renamed to Ethnikos on 23 December 1924, after it merged with Peiraikos Podosfairikos Omilos.
Panionios G.S.S., the Pan-Ionian Gymnastics Club of Smyrna, is a Greek multi-sport club founded in 1890. Originally based in Smyrna/Izmir, the club was uprooted in the population exchange between Greece and Turkey following the Asia Minor Catastrophe in 1922. It is now based in the suburban town of Nea Smyrni, located in the Attica, and where many of the refugees from Smyrna settled.

Faidon Matthaiou, was a Greek professional basketball player and coach. He was a center at the start of his career, and at the end of his career, he also played as a point guard. He wore the number 1 jersey throughout his career. He represented Greece twice at the Summer Olympic Games. As a rower at the 1948 Summer Olympics, and as a basketball player at the 1952 Summer Olympics.

NO Vouliagmeni or "NOV" is a major aquatic sports club, founded by local sportsmen in 1937 in the seaside resort of Vouliagmeni, Athens, Greece. The Greek women's Basketball League, also known as A1 Ethniki Women's Basketball is the most important competition of Greek women's professional basketball. It is organised by the EOK. It began with the 1967–68 season. The first championship of the league, which was held in the 1967–68 season, was organised by ΕΟΑΠ. Two years later, the EOK assumed control of the competition.

Panionios Volleyball Club is the volleyball department of the Greek multisport club of Panionios, based in Nea Smirni. It is one of the oldest sport sections of the club with presence since early 20th century. The colours of the club are red and blue and its home arena is the Panionios Indoor Hall.
