Giovanni Pradella

Giovanni Pradella (born 1971) founded the Pradella Organ Workshop, located in the Valtellina province of Sondrio since 1993. Specialized in building new organs and restoring old ones. The Pradella Workshop has recaptured the technique used by the renaissance master. Giovanni Pradella is now internationally renowned, commissioned with prestigious restorations and new instruments. He has collaborated with other notable organ builders, among whom is the German, Gerald Wohel, on the restoration of an Italian style organ at the University of Rochester, in the United States.

FS Class E.430

The FS Class E.430 locomotives, initially classed as RA 34, were three-phase alternating current electric locomotives of the Italian railways. They were built for Ferrovia della Valtellina by Ganz and MÁVAG in 1901 and had a power output of 440 kW and a haulage capacity of 300 tons. One locomotive is preserved.

Museo Etnografico Tiranese

The Museo Etnografico Tiranese (MET) is an ethnographic museum in Tirano, a town in the valley of Valtellina in the Lombardy region. It was founded in 1973 thanks to the "Centro Iniziativa Giovanile (C.I.G.)" with the aim to document peasant life and culture of the mountain region of the Valtellina. The "Centro Iniziativa Giovanile" run the museum until the end of the year 2017, since then the municipality of Tirano took responsibility for the continuation and development of the museum.
