The Darkness are a British rock band formed in Lowestoft, England. The band consists of Justin Hawkins, his brother Dan Hawkins, Frankie Poullain and Rufus Tiger Taylor.

Justin David Hawkins is an English musician, singer, songwriter and YouTube personality best known for being the lead singer and lead guitarist of the Darkness. Heavily influenced by rock bands of the 1970s and 1980s, Hawkins is noted for his falsetto singing voice and flamboyant on-stage persona. He was also the lead singer and guitarist for the band Hot Leg, formed in 2008 and now on hiatus. His falsetto voice has been described as operatic and very similar to that of Queen's Freddie Mercury.
"Growing on Me" is a song by the glam rock band the Darkness from their album Permission to Land. It was released as the second single on 16 June 2003, peaking at number 11 on the UK Singles Chart. It also charted at number 42 and 46 in Ireland and Australia.
Mixes is the fifth remix album by Australian recording artist Kylie Minogue. It was released on 3 August 1998, by Deconstruction Records. The album contains remixes of tracks from her sixth studio album, Impossible Princess (1997). The remixes were done by DJs such as Brothers in Rhythm, Junior Vasquez, and Todd Terry. The remixes was influenced by various genres of dance music, such as electronica and dance-pop. The album was originally scheduled for a 1999 release, but Deconstruction pre-poned the release date of Mixes in the United Kingdom to August 1998, since the Australian counterpart, Impossible Remixes (1998), had been released earlier than its original date. With favourable critical reception, Mixes charted in the United Kingdom at number sixty-three on the UK Albums Chart, her highest remix album at the time. The Brothers in Rhythm remix of "Too Far" was released as a promotional single in the UK and North America.

This version rose to No. 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, as well as No. 5 in the United Kingdom, and helped propel sales of Easter to mainstream success.
One Way Ticket to Hell... and Back is the second studio album by the British rock band The Darkness. It was released on 28 November 2005 through Atlantic Records, reaching number 11 on the UK Album Chart and eventually attaining platinum status in the UK. Three singles were released from the album. The lead single, "One Way Ticket", reached number 8 on the UK Singles Chart, as did the second single "Is It Just Me?"

"I Get Around" is a song by Canadian electronic music band Dragonette from their debut studio album, Galore (2007). It was released on April 30, 2007 as the album's lead single. The track first appeared as an early working on Dragonette's self-released 2005 eponymous EP.
Stone Gods were a British hard rock / heavy metal band formed by some ex-members of the UK hard rock band The Darkness. Their debut album, titled Silver Spoons & Broken Bones, was released on 7 July 2008, with the first single "Knight of the Living Dead" being released on 23 June 2008. On 9 December 2010 they officially went on hiatus.
Hot Leg were an English rock band led by The Darkness frontman Justin Hawkins. The band consisted of Hawkins, Pete Rinaldi, Samuel SJ Stokes and Darby Todd. Their debut album Red Light Fever was recorded in London in early 2008, and was released on 9 February 2009 by Barbecue Rock Records.
"Is It Just Me?" is a song by British rock the Darkness, taken as the second single from their second studio album, One Way Ticket to Hell... And Back (2005). The single was released on 20 February 2006 and was the band's fifth consecutive top-10 hit in the United Kingdom, peaking at No. 8 on the UK Singles Chart. It also reached No. 36 in Ireland and No. 39 in Australia. The music video for the song features a parody of the popular Flake girl advert, which was a popular advertisement for the chocolate bar. It also features psychedelic rock star Arthur Brown as the priest, who is marrying Justin Hawkins to himself.
"I Like It" is a song performed by Spanish singer Enrique Iglesias taken from his first bilingual studio album, Euphoria. It features guest vocals from American rapper Pitbull. Both artists co-wrote the electropop song with RedOne, who produced it. It also interpolates Lionel Richie's 1983 single "All Night Long ". with vocals re-recorded by Richie himself. I Like It was released on 3 May 2010 as the debut English single and second single overall. The song was also included on the official soundtrack to MTV reality series Jersey Shore. A version of the song without Pitbull is also found on the international version of Euphoria. The song also serves as the first single from the Jersey Shore soundtrack. The song was the official song of Airtel 2010 Champions League Twenty20. The song has sold 4 million copies in the US alone.
"Heartbeat" is a song by Spanish singer and songwriter Enrique Iglesias. The song was written by Iglesias, along with his long-term collaborators Jamie Scott and Mark Taylor, for his ninth studio album Euphoria (2010). The mid-tempo ballad, produced by Taylor, features guest vocals from American singer Nicole Scherzinger. The song has a melody based on futuristic piano sounds and incorporates elements of dance music. The Rudi Wells' Open Heart Remix of the song later appeared on Scherzinger's debut studio album Killer Love (2011).

Little Mix are a British girl group, consisting of group members Jade Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards, and Leigh-Anne Pinnock. Former member Jesy Nelson departed from the group in December 2020. The group rose to prominence in 2011 after winning the eighth series of The X Factor. The group's music style is pop, R&B and dance-pop, with influences from other genres such as tropical house, latin pop, and electronic music. Their lyrics are often centered around feminism, gender equality, body positivity, LGBTQ+ rights and sexism.
Hot Cakes is the third studio album by British rock band the Darkness, released on 20 August 2012 on Canary Dwarf Records. Produced by Nick Brine and band members Justin and Dan Hawkins, the album is the band's first since their 2011 reunion, and the first to feature founding bassist Frankie Poullain since the release of Permission to Land in 2003. It is also the last album to feature all 4 original members, after Ed Graham's departure in 2014. Despite not being released until 20 August, the album was made available to stream on the Rolling Stone website on 14 August.
