"Girls Night Out" is the 32nd single by American singer and songwriter Debbie Gibson, which was released originally as the first single from her new album, The Body Remembers , on June 7, 2019, garnering favorable reviews. The Body Remembers , her first album featuring all original songs since Electric Youth , came out on August 20, 2021, which includes the remake of "Lost in Your Eyes, the Duet", a duet with Joey McIntyre from New Kids on the Block as the second released song, followed by, "One Step Closer". [1] [2] [3] Including non album singles, it is her 41st single, and follows a long history of Broadway songs, albums, stand alone releases, and musical collaborations since M.Y.O.B.

It was first digitally released to American radio stations in early June 2019 through her label, Stargirl Records, but did not immediately chart. However, on January 10, 2020, the "Girls Night Out" (Tracy Young Remixes) were digitally released to music venues, and the song entered the Billboard Dance Club Songs Chart at No. 44. [1]

The "Girls Night Out" (VegasVibe Remix) soon went from No. 15 to No. 8 on Dance Club Songs survey dated March 7, 2020, becoming Gibson's first entry to the top ten of a Billboard chart since Electric Youth in 1989. [4]

By March 10, 2020, the song reached No. 5 on the Billboard Dance Chart, [5] and No. 4 on the U.S. Billboard and U.K. MusicWeek charts. [6] [7] [8] [9]

"Girls Night Out" is Gibson's third top-ten hit, and ninth top-fifty song. [10] The music video for "Girls Night Out" was shot in Las Vegas, Nevada, featuring showroom dancers and casinos.

Debbie Gibson and Joey McIntyre started a short term Las Vegas residency in August 2021. [7] The highly anticipated show was entitled, “Debbie Gibson & Joey McIntyre Live from Las Vegas,” which occurred at the Sands Showroom inside The Venetian Resort in Las Vegas.
