Girteka Group is a transport company based in the city of Vilnius, Lithuania, operating in Europe and Scandinavia. It was founded in 1996 by Mindaugas Raila who, at the age of 24, bought a single used truck complete with a trailer. [2] [3]

Today, it is one of Europe's largest transport companies. [4] Girteka Group is delivering more than 765 000 full truck loads (FTLs) every year, with more than 9 200 fully owned trucks and 9 800 trailers that operate in Europe. Girteka hires more than 23.000 employees. [ citation needed ]

In the past, the Sprinter had been sold under the Mercedes-Benz, Dodge, and Freightliner nameplates. In the U.S., it was built from complete knock down (CKD) kits by Freightliner. The Mercedes-Benz Zetros is an off-road truck for extreme operations. It was first presented at the 2008 Eurosatory defence industry trade show in Paris. The Zetros is manufactured at the Mercedes-Benz plant in Wörth, Germany. The truck is designed to be compatible with the Hercules C-130 transport and also fits into a standard German railway carriage. In 2019 Mercedes-Benz presented a facelift of the Zetros with a more powerful engine and a bigger number of variants.
